Of all the different stages Merle had with different styles of music, this Jimmy Rogers stuff has to be some of his finest work. Love it!!

What made merle so great is he never stopped being a fan of country music. He lived the songs he wrote. Most artists nowadays have no soul and have not lived their music.

It's amazing that after the life he's led, he can still sing as good as he does!Definitely a living legend,who taught a generation how to sing!And could teach a thing or two to this new crop of kids, that are screwing up country music today!

I'm a strict Rock n' Roll man. Religious about it..HOWEVER..when fall off the fence onto the country side of life, I land in Merle's back yard. Excellent just isn't a big enough word. Thanks Merle. :)

Just magic! I stated when Merle died recently that he would live forever on KZread and songs like this just prove it! Many thanks for this posting. Great to watch a craftsman Take a classic song from another time and put his own inimitable stamp on it.This remains a fine tribute to Jimmie Rodgers and a monument for himself, the late and always great Merle Haggard

That was absolutely great! I amazed everyday about the great videos on youtube. My wife got the TV on HGTV all day but I"m happy as a clam sitting here at the computer with the headphones on watching youtube.
