I've ran into Pat a few times in my life, but I never knew the guy personally. It's amazing to see his reach. I'd go online and play call of duty multiplayer (back when the game was good) and I'd tell people I'm from Dartmouth and on at least 5 or 6 occasions the random people from the US or on one occasion in England, they'd respond with "oh i know that place, Pat Stay's hometown"......The guy put our city on the map. He deserves a public monument in his honour somewhere downtown.

@@immortalfables No monument yet, but there is a massive mural with his name on it on the back of some industrial building that lines Halifax Harbour, on the Dartmouth side of course. Its so big you can easily read it from the Halifax harbour boardwalk, not far from where Pat died.
