Opened on January 10, 2024, Merdeka 118 is the tallest building in Southeast Asia and is also the 2nd tallest building in the world, only after the Burj Khalifa in Dubai. Its official height is 678.9 meters or 2,227 ft. The roof height is 518 meters or 1,702 ft.
Taipei 101 was the tallest building in the world from 2004 to 2009, before the completion of Burj Khalifa. It stands 508 meters or 1667 ft, the roof height is 449 meters or 1474 ft.
