    It's a game changer for van life if you can hook into the battery and run your electronics from it.

    It would be a game changer if you are on top of a hill and your battery runs out the next morning you wake up😂

    For van life, would be lovely if can avoid having to add secondary power, e.g battery packs / air conditioning system. Either full roof solar OR none at all would be great.

    Considering that the US doesn't have the 3.5 ton weight limit for a standard driving license I'm surprised that they aren't putting a bigger battery in it.

    I’d like to know the pros and cons of the E sprinter? If the world is moving towards electric vehicles, why would we want to purchase diesel? With gasoline savings alone be worth the electric ?

    1:29 When doing a long trip you will not wait "42 minutes" because you only need enough to go to the next fast charger or to your destination. So it will probably be 20 to 30 minutes, the time of a well deserved break after several hours of driving. However, since a Tesla model 3 with 80 kWh can charge at 250 kW, this eSprinter should be able to charge at 300 kW, so 150 kW is a bit disappointing. With such a wide roof, photovoltaic panels would also have been a nice option, since it will be impossible to add with an aftermarket product, at least to charge the main battery. The charging plug location is great since in Europe it should be possible to charge at Tesla Superchargers.

    the amount of kWh on the battery doesnt make the chargingspeed go faster or slower. Look at Huyndai and Kia. They got 77kWh battery but their 800v system makes it possible to charge faster. So its all about what voltage and ampere the batterypack is at.

    At 3.02, 98% battery shows 239 miles of range (dashboard). A far cry from the ~300 miles mentioned in the video. Still better than the electric Ford Transit

  • @didierpuzenat7280

    @didierpuzenat7280

    The dashboard range probably takes into account the last trips, and if it was mainly on highways a 239 range at 98% is coherent with a 300 miles WLTP and even more. So I think it is better to wait for official figures.

    An EV does not take more time to charge on a DC fast charger (such as a Tesla Supercharger with "plug and charge" protocol) than an ICE vehicle at a pump. In fact, since you just have to plug, I would argue it only takes 4 seconds to charge while it takes 5 minutes to fuel and pay.
