Once you completed the radio swap, how do you set the time on the small digital clock in dash ?

You have to program the cluster for non navigation radio then you can program through cluster.

@@joemont5521 Connect Mercedes Tool to OBD2 port. Connect to cluster. Cluster is programmed for navigation radio. Reprogram for non navigation radio. The option to set the clock through the cluster menu will appear.

2003-2004 is a D2B fiber audio system instead of MOST. And the plastic part to hold the radio is also completely different. SL audio is broken down 2002-2004, 2005-2008 and 2009-2012. All 3 use different parts. This video says 2005-2012 because on the surface they look the same.

What is the dB threshold for HD FM ?

If you're asking that question I hope you know the answer lol... I'm not a fan of HD radio. I would call the radio manufacturer you are thinking of buying and ask them that question. I've been doing this since 1999 and you are the first person to ever ask that. But I will save the question next time I go for training.

Did you have to replace the bose amp for the new head unit?

No our harness keeps the factory amplifier.
