Thank you for all your detailed videos! Have you tried refurbishing your dashboard? It can be done with a special spray paint (to paint the needles). I will try this on my R107 at some point.

Hello - if you do this, let me know how it goes. Both 280SL's are OK in this respect but I suspect the 450SL still languishing in a field will require attention to the dash by the time I het round to it. Mike

What kind of puller will you be using to pull on the bearings. I have been trying to figure that one out for a while. Great video btw!

Thank you for your comment. Evaporust is a fabulous product but expensive. These days I use Bilt Hamber Deox-C crystals which work out much cheaper and basically do the same thing. Both products are available through eBay and Amazon. Mike

Hello - I am referencing the official Mercedes workshop manual. If you type the following into google, you should be able to find this section online in one of the Mercedes forums: 35-130 Removal and installation of rear axle shaft flange, adjustment of bearings Mike

What did you use to unscrew that end nut? I can't for the life of me remove it.

Thanks for your comment - If I understand you correctly, I used a 'castellated socket set' shown at 2.10 in the video below: kzread.info/dash/bejne/a65rtbKCnMbWmaQ.html This particular socket set is useful for a variety of tasks on the SL. What country do you live in? Mike

Thanks for your comment and sorry about the poor sound quality. It seems fine on my computer but I have since bought a new device so hopefully sound is better on later videos. Mike
