As always you went beyond . Nothing wrong with that in your case Luis. That's what makes you a valuable mechanic for your customers. In my case the aux battery would have been replaced. Don't misunderstand me. I understand the reasoning.

Just for information, that sealed battery is available in electrical/DIY stores, because it is the same as used in house hold alarm backup battery. Just a case of matching the size and Ah rating. Also far cheaper than the quoted Mercedes price which probably is made by Yuasa. Anyway you have fixed the battery (for now). Good work as always.

Done It again Luis! Not a fan of the sealed battery units myself, bring back screw caps on the top of the battery I say!. All to do with controld lifespan, and this throw away society we live in. Great stuff "Thank You"😄👍

If the the pre-safe is not reseting, most likely something is wrong... Scan the car and go from there... 👍👍👍

What a great video. A lot of information. Would you share where the relay for the Aux. Battery is located. My aux. battery is fine but I still have the white battery warning. I guess that it may be the relay. Thanks.

I never had to get to it, so not really sure... Some models don't actually have one, not saying this is the case though... Try Mr. Google...🤪 👍👍👍

The person commented to say that it looks like a house battery is correct can't believe Mercedes charge nearly double the price just looked it up the battery exactly the same is only between 10 and 22 Euros nowhere near 67.66.

Does Mercedes not specify an AGM for these 🤷 I had an R Class the other week, same year, with both batteries cabbaged and it didn't have Stop/Start but still it was an AGM. Just wondering. Why is it that owners of MLs and X5s etc. always seem to put cheap batteries on their cars. The battery is the most important part on a modern car that's full of computer modules.

Install battery maintainer if you do not planning to drive all the time. Even crappy solar panel thing deliver some milliamps... These days is not good idea to install isolation switch, computers hates it. EDIT: dry battery...does it mean the charging system cooked it away? NEVER EVER USE DEIONISED WATER ON ANYWHERE!!!! Batteries needs DESTILLED WATER!!! Ask from me, how I ruined shiny computer water cooling....

lol i just replaced my car battery was starting very week . i even have a tester but you know your self . its a 7 year old battery its going to be on its last legs and its a gm lol. And as a bonus my stop start that has never worked since i picked it up for the Vauxhall dealer yer of course they never bothered to fix it.stop start for the win hmm i think

If you want to get the proper thing, not really... you need more than that... For the odd quick programming you might be ok though... depends what exactly you are planning to do... Long programming sessions, you might want to invest on a programming battery maintainer... 👍👍👍

I use a 30 amps... but is just a battery charger... To program safely, you should use a battery maintainer, 60 amps or more...
