True. GLC63s, X5/6M and X3/4M are all super good even on tracks. But the GLE63s feels way too slow for tracks, it focused on comfort way too much for a '63s AMG'.

The rear view camera is a great addition!

I can picture myself in the m4 asking what the hell is in that merc , lol he was pushing pretty hard and was getting gapped

Really enjoyed this. A chase/being chased lap adds something really special to the video. Great work as always and next level driving skills!

My wife has one of these and absolutely loves it. It's a fantastic SUV to drive everyday and spiritedly. Definitely prefer it over the Macan and X3/X4. Awesome to see one ripping through the ring. Thanks Misha!

Misha + GLC63 AMG = Slow M4. Rear view camera is amazing, once past the M4, it’s was barely a blip on the rear horizon for the rest of the lap.

I think the appeal of Mercedes is not necessarily the v8, although it is a selling point, I think what Mercedes is capable of capturing is just that rowdiness, that hooligan drifting/burnout machine that’s still capable of being refined and fast. I think what is essentially a big turbo 4cyl making obnoxious amounts of power from factory is an amazing replacement if the v8s need to go away. I mean what is a more quintessential hooligan carguy car then a big turbo in-line 4 😂

Being in this car and a stage 2 sq5 the sq5 does it for me as I don’t live in petrol stations but as everyone says very capable car and very good lap by misha 👍🏻

not bad at all, especially for a practical vehicle. the next 2.0l 470hp engine seems small but it all depends on how it is designed to withstand more torque, you can simply use oversized crankshaft, bearings, or much stronger steel. Another problem I think would be heat dissipation on smaller surface area inside the cylinders, obviously they took it into consideration

I'm legit impressed by this car. If the brakes would have been brand new and you would be on your own in the car the brakes would have survived 1 full send lap no problem. AMG must have spend considerable time to get that perfect balance for their lap record attempt. Also impressed by how good the oil and water cooling is.

Actually water temperature suprised me. It raised very very slowly. Considering that a car was already driven some time before the lap and oil was up to operating temperature the water temp should rise up much quicker to an operating range. Here for me it behaved like a car with removed thermostat. Did mercedes put in there some electronic valve instead? Maybe it does not close unless you turn on the heating inside or heating inside is being done by some electrical heater? Does anyone know some details about it?

The engineering behind these cars is amazing. Just 20years ago people would be flabbergasted at the performance of this car.

Saw one of these for the first time in person today, I’m surprised it took so long as I see other ‘performance’ SUVs like g63s and SVRs almost daily here.

Wish i could get my GLC 43 amg over there I would love to see how the Bi-turbo v6 does compared to the 63 in comfort mode these things are typical mercedes but in sport plus and take of traction control these Small SUVs are pretty quick.

You know its quicker around the ring than an M4? And also i have done 25 laps on track and this was the second lap in the dry. But yes i am not that good of a driver yet ;)

That looked pretty capable for a big SUV! M4 wasn't the most experienced driver tho. 63's sound great from the outside, not sure why it needs fake sound in the interior...

If you had the "s" version and set it to "master" it does not cut power.
