I'm really tired of all those people saying that they can't tell the difference between s or c or e coupe... You are just hear to talk nonsense about Mercedes design actually...I agree, the shape, from the distance, is really similar, but just look at the headlights, the taillights, they are all different, and there is significant difference in the size, even the side profile is different when you look a little bit better ... After all, the shape is effortlessly classy, so why then changing him to much? If you have skilled eye, you can easily tell the difference. If you can't, just step off.

The proportions of the e class sedan and C Class sedan are very similar. When I see one its hard to tell from a distance if its an E or C. That's coming from an E550 cabrio owner. This is what turned me off from getting an E class sedan for my wife. The coupe however does distinguish itself a lot more and has a better overall individual road profile. I really DO think it was a mistake to blend the C E and S models so closely. Regardless my e400 coupe is hopefully going to be here in the states mid/late june. The tech on these cars and the riding comfort are out of this world. I feel like Mercedes is finally back.

Apparently, you can move the front seats very close towards the steering wheel as well.

it's really really awesome.. Mercedes has done a good job for creating this smaller s class coupe, simply affordable to most drivers. appreciate your clear review.. tq bro.

napoleon950 oh, uh I don't know if you noticed, we viewers require the reviewer to have some sort of camera so we can see both him talking while driving to feel "interactive" and more "personal" with the reviewer. Obviously your brain hasn't noticed in this digital age, well ever since film was invented, we actually have this thing call lenses that (in a way trying to replicate what our eyes see) shows us a moving picture. Without much distortion in this video, one can tell he isn't using a fish eye lens GoPro. Or rather, his camera crew fitted the cars passenger with a window mounted camera with a 30mm lens. Oh, you might be wondering why his sitting so uptight in front of the car. Probably because he knows some of you are stupid and wants to fuck with you.

Great video. Agree with most points. Owned a e350eq for a short period of time and didn’t enjoy it. Car struggled to put its power down and the sluggish gearbox was annoying.

Great interior and lovely to see a proper built in infotainment screen, rather than the usual lazy tablet plonked on the dash cop-out. But the rear styling is bland and dumpy...a problem with several current Mercedes models.

its a shame that here in the US we wont get this model for a little while still since that style is coming here as the 2018 model :(

Oh Batchie Batchie Batchie.... I know people on here give you grief about some stupid stuff sometimes, BUT - I'm struggling to follow what drives you to moan about some things on one car, and then not even mention it on another. Case in point: the seat sliding. In this it's apparently horrendously slow (around 4 seconds) but in the Disco you reviewed recently the rear seats took exactly the same amounts not of time, and you couldn't praise that thing enough, despite a Disco being far more likely to carry a full load of passengers than a Merc Coupe. I've noticed this kind of anomaly a few times recently, just curious!

you sit way to close to the steering wheel. you're wrist are supposed to be on the wheel with a tiny more room to spare for full wheel rotation. the way you sit would make it harder for you turn quickly if something were to happen

Amazing car, but what really kills it for me, as you also mention, are those hideous small windows in the back that don't slide down. I mean, seriously? Just a cost issue: they could have designed a window that folds more forward instead of just down. It's crazy ugly!

It sounded quite noisy when he was driving the car around. Never really pushed the car at all which is quite disappointing.

Everything about this car is perfectly fine. What's not cool is this reviewer.. Euuwww

Well, I'm 6'3", so I guess if I were ever to get a Mercedes, I'd have to wait until I'm rich enough to make it an S-Class.

a rotary controller gives haptic feedback, therefore it´s better to use while driving than a touchscreen. In fact many customers prefer this kind of infotainment over a touchscreen

NO ONE in their right mind would buy this car or any other three door car if carrying children ,if you have any type of accident or even perhaps worse a fire ,HOW DO you get your child out of the car,when in a panic ? Sorry it,s a car as are most 3 door cars simply for 2 persons , I have yet to hear of any manufacturer explain how rear seat passengers get out never mind a child .

Unless you fully spec the E class of t will never look this good and I don't think the design is that nice either, I'd much rather have a BMW

I like it so much because of its Interior and it's front but I don't like the back at all... Bmw have quite good cars but not as good as Mercedes does for their new models... The best interior is audi with their " Virtual cockpit" , looks so much better than the "cheap looking" mercedes double screen ... ...this was my opinion obviously...

Flyway Differnce is, Audi deep down in there front wheel drive inferior chassis are just posh VWs with the same kinda tech in all area. Mercedes while they don't share much with other cars have actually quite plasticity feeling leather and door trims, moreover the Mercedes products that the moment are all shown with the highest trims and the the best equipment and this is something you'll think would come with the car, but when you get inside any Mercedes product the screens are small, they have a lot of blank buttons and rubbish infotainment. While I'm not saying that Audi and BMW don't spec up there test cars at least the base model still looks good and hides the fact it is gave very well. I'd stand by my original statement to buy a BMW, better drivers car, better engines and gearbox and a much nicer look inside and out ! That's opinion though cause I'm a BMW fan boy !!!

Duncan Idaho Yes it does. The 6 is the coupe 5 series just like this is the coupe E Class. The C Coupe competes with a 4 series and an A5. The S Coupe has no direct competitor other than a Bentley Continental maybe.

The 6 series' price is similar to a 7 series. The E class tag price doesn't even come close to the S class, except if its the E63 AMG... and even then.

This is ugly as hell I saw one recently by far the worst of the Mercedes coupes. Far too bulky and the shape just doesn't look right
