That plastic merc impeller looked cheap the replacement was the business lucky for him u were there jimmy

I’m wondering if that owner ever heard of maintenance. It’s obvious from the mess around that water pump, that engine has been losing coolant for months 😬

These Waterpumps are just poor quality/design. First pumps on the 651 diesel engine failed around 40-50K Km's. Some went for 150K +. They eventually replaced them with aluminum one's like the 651 in Vito's or sprinters.

Mercedes and BMW used to be at the top in Engineering and quality designs, but all the other car Companies have now caught up -- except, of course, the Russian ones. Ladas are still referred to as skips on wheels.

A plethora of warning lights on that not related to the coolant issue.

Hos long does it take to replace a water pump on this car?

OK went to them today for it, they said they can't do it on my car as the filter is blocked due to a sensor so it's better to get that fixed. Full refund as well

Get some Red rubber grease , it doesn't attack rubber like normal grease does over time.👍

Ideal for brake systems as it doesn’t affect brake fluid. Silicone grease is ideal for most other applications such as this

Oh dear. Looks like a cheap water pump was used. Nice to know it's an easy job on that engine.

It won't cool if the cap is off And probably never topit up Have to say test it again with a with rad cap on They are very strong engines but you need the rad cap in to monitor the car trying to bleed it running won't work Give it another go

Bleed them with engine Off ignition in heater on hi and start filling till full watch the bublz cap on run and quick spin Switch engine off check coolent top up if necessary if u don't have a pressure tester If you don you draw vacuum wait for air leaks then flick a valve and it's ready that easy

Owning a Mercedes but thinking it can deal with lack of maintenance as a Corolla...yikes. No wonder some of these people fall for the "maintenance free" false advertising for BEVs.

I'm not sure if you are serious but he said in a recent video he does not answer the phone any more as dumb asses keep ringing him up looking for remote DPF cleaning help.

@ORileysAutos I did the headgasket on one a few month back took me hours of messing about to finally bleed it up was doing exactly what yours was if I hadn't of done the head I'd of thought it was the head at fault

Pressure tester vacuum bleeder is a must been using them over 7years Some in main dealers and I own now for the last 3
