This is actually my first time hearing a CLK GTR, i think I’m in love…

This video alone made me fall in love with cars all over again. Everything about it, the roar of the v12, the transmission whine, the judder between gear changes, the relentless pull through every gear, it’s everything I love about cars all in one place.

I have always liked these "musical" engines.

​@@michaelkmiec5842 straight cut gears have more surface area allowing maximum contact, increasing torque and less loss of power via transmission, they are also stronger than helical gears but they are clunky and noisy as hell! I don't know why anyone would complain? Just listen 😍

Unlike most modern cars that have paddle shifters and two pedals, the CLK GTR has a clutch pedal like any car with a stick shifter. Shifting up or down in this car requires the driver to press the clutch pedal first before using the paddle shifters to upshift or downshift.

Wrong car. The CLR flew since it’s wheels were more to the center. The CLK does not have that problem

E55 is totally different. CLK 55 if anything, but in the CLK-GTR it's shrunken down, it's much narrower.

It is better than even BMW M3 GTR.

What kind of comparison is that? They're not close to each other CLK GTR is a GT1 hypercar that rivaled by Mclaren F1 and Porsche 911 GT1 BMW never produced anything even close to that

It wasn't build off the McLaren F1! The only relation is that AMG/HWA used a McLaren F1 chassis to put the Mercedes-Benz V12 engine in for initial testing at Jarama or so when the CLK-GTR chassis wasn't ready yet. The final product has zero relation to the McLaren.

i always wonder why people buy this expensive toys if they are not going to show then or used them properly? like this guy is doing fine it showing people who can not afford it how it sound and all, i wish i can see him in the highway or so.
