I have been trying to diagnose my A209 CLK500 roof issue, so I started studying all the fuse and Relays diagram and it took me hours and hours, I am sure it is crucial for us to know the important fuse and relay locations beforehand than on the road...I hope this video be helpful and please share your experiences. Would you happen to know which fuse or relay would control the rear headrest/roll bars from popping up spontaneously and then the hazard lights start blinking? It's a 2009 CLK550 Cab, which does not have the roll bar switch to reset them. They have to be pushed back down manually. Any thoughts you might have on this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

great video. I came here searching on how to remove the wire terminal from the fuse box. I couldn't find a way although I have some depinning tools. I know there's a tab in each terminal but maybe there's a special tool or technique to do it. Any suggestion?

There is no relay for cigarette lighter the fuse for cigarette lighter is fuse 47 in the engine bay

Might be a connector issue, or wiring issue... check your negative too.

May I please ask which of these relays is involved with headlight switch for high beams. ( switching from low to high beam ) I believe it’s also referred to as dimmer switch, combination switch.

I believe the CLK fan has no relay. The power comes straight out of a fan modulator and ECU. Need to diagnose using MB Star.

Great video # 47 fuse is for front cigar charger located driver side of the engine area up front rather than want this video is showing lol

Hello, you need to check: 1. Pressure switch. 2. If you have enough gas in the AC system, both can cause the compressor not to work.

Hey! I recently changed an indicator light (right side) but I don’t think it was wired properly as the indicator light would flash every so often when the car was off. A couple days later, my car wouldn’t lock or unlock and the key does not start the ignition at all, the key hardly moves when it’s in the ignition? Could this have tripped a fuse such as the starter relay? Or do you know which fuse would be responsible for this? Thank you

Hi mate, this might have nothing to do with the indicator issue. Are you sure your battery is healthy / charged? Check the voltage first to be +12.5

Well you first need to check simple and not costly parts and then replace Relays, a horn relay is unlikely to be faulty if not used excessively...

Hi I am trying to locate another accessory fuse in the engine compartment I know the cigarette lighter is one but I have my dash cam connected to that one I need another one for my daytime running light harness can you please advise me which other fuse is an accessory fuse or can I piggyback the daytime running light harness wire together with the dash cam wire on just the cigarette lighter fuse would that be safe thanks..

No I mean seperate from the fog light the harnes6has 3 wires red and black get connected directly to the battery and a blue wire that I need to connect to an accessory fuse so when I turn the car on the daytime running lights come on and when I turn the car off they go out after 20 seconds

@petergiannitsadis3561 if those lights have 3 wires, the blue wire is just a sense and you are not going to pull much of a current from the blue. So you can connect it to pretty much anything as long as you secure your wires properly and insulate them correctly, and use a 1 AMP inline fuse and holder, but as I said, have a look at the diagrams... hope it helps.

Hi I connected the blue wire to the wiper motor fuse the wipers work only in accessory or ignition mode all good now.

I have a 2004 CLK500 that I'm trying to fix, just replaced fuel pump and sending unit but still don't get a signal to pump. BUT I noticed my SAM is upside down from the one in the video. Is that normal?

Not sure, just fix it to the original position, might fix the issue. I know there is a cut off switch somewhere for roll over.

Is it normal to have missing fuses like some you showed? Would it damage my car if the fuses came missing but I add them?

Some cars are diesel powered, some manual transmission, these are for different options and trims, so do not worry so much about missing Fuses if all of the functions of your cars are in working condition.

This usually happens when the data from sensors to the ECU is cut, this might be an unplugged connector, bad negative, rusted ECU connection, bad ECU or a bad temperature sensor. I fact this is a self defence action against damage as the ECU does not know what is wrong. You need to diagnose your car using a proper scanner preferably MB star.
