Yea the interior is really nice but it is let down by that massive border and now Audi has a virtual cockpit option on their A4.

I don't care if it's not very practical, it's beautiful and sporty

I really love Mercedes, they are doing good job. I didnt like C and E class from 90s and early 2000's, but with w204 and w212 they were back on the track. Just beautiful cars. W205 and and w213 are great. Ofc new A class is something not like that small box that was before...

I think carwow and Mat Watson generally do excellent and concise reviews, but one thing never mentioned is reliability and dealer satisfaction ratings. I realise this is probably an intentional omission as you’re a sales outfit (which is fair enough), however for me those points are massively important - especially if you were choosing between something like a Merc, BMW or Audi for example?!

Are the electric hybrids any good? With the way things are going, it sounds like a smart choice.

How can this be a 2018 review as the title states, when the video was published in 2016? What am I missing?

I love it! It’s very easy for me to maneuver & it’s comfortable enough for me!

Matt please add the other videos of practicality 360° infotainment and group test along with the reviews on youtube..theres generally a delay of a day or 2 between these videos..its good for us to watch them together one after the other..😊 Also..please add the links to youtube videos directly rather than carwow website..

i just went to look at the new c class in a merc showroom and came out preferring the new b class.i think if you are looking at the c class,the e class makes more sense.on the other hand i found the b class a roomier option and a choice of power above 134 bhp either petrol or diesel a better buy than a c class.does anyone else agree with this.just something that made more sense to me after the visit.the new e class by the way is probably the best in its class. a truly amazing machine.

Is it possible to retrofit the digital cockpit on this Mercedes to make it look like the face lift ?

I do like this car but I wasn't enamoured with the drive. it was soft but didn't take bumps well either. Mercedes offer more kit than the competition as standard and also quite good trim levels and packs with kit. I got a BMW 430d in the end. 6 weeks in it's awesome

I bought one of these, specifically a c250 estate, prem+ amg line, night edition. The seats are horrifically uncomfortable after about 40 mins. They are just painful around the shoulder area / upper back. I’m not sure if it’s memory foam, or if the seat is just badly shaped, but if you ever see anyone driving one of these cars, just look at the seating position of the driver… its either setup so the driver’s upper back isn’t touching the seat at all, or it’s reclined quite far back so the driver is supporting themselves by the shoulders rather than their back. Lots of folk will be looking at these as a used approved buy, as they come off lease… do yourself a favour and avoid them!

Just got my used 2015 c300 last year in 2022 and been driving for almost 2 years with amg line and its amazing seating not as good as a bmw but still

How did it come to be that space on door panels and cabins are tested with water bottles? It seems most people are using the 1 litre water bottle.

As long as you get the MB command sat nav (bigger screen) the interior is very nice. MB is knocking out class leading interiors left, right and centre..!

Is It possible to remove the middle headrest in the rear seat..?

Powered tailgate not standard you have to spend extra to get the premium pack. which was quite embarrassing when the merc dealer told me it doesnt i showed him the review and he said quote "this guy must be dreaming"

Without having muchknowledge about how transmissions work i can say that the manual gearbox is phenomenal at least in th A180 D. Comparing the gearbox in my Renault clio from 2013 it´s the best gearbox i have ever worked with it´s smooth in fact very smooth. The Renault gearbox however is a mess it´s very difficult putting it in reverse for some reason and it is just not as smooth as the Mercedes. Now i do agree that having a manual gearbox in a Mercedes is a bit weird in fact it should be a crime. Something i have to ask though. is the automatic gearbox in that model you tried slow in downshifting because that is an issue i have had in the car i tested at my local Mercedes dealer it was very quick and responsive in upshifting but going down again was a bit laggy.

I don't get why everyone complains about the 2.1 engine. I drove a w205 220d and it was very quiet. The only part where it felt loudish was under hard acceleration.

I just wish they made the display retractable like they did with their previous models. I just know its going to be outdated in a few years. Wish the whole display thing in cars would be set aside a bit maybe move towards windshield hud displays. Im a huge techie but just dont like the look of a screen on a dashboard
