How hard was the install? I just bought a G63 and I want to do this. And you just bought something on Amazon? Any suggestions on which one? Love how yours turned out!!

It’s not hard just time consuming. For the G I suggest getting the 1000 strand kit. You can fit up to 1200 in that box. That’s usually how many I do on a G-class. If it’s the newer model, you can also do the sunroof cover. Here is an eBay item number for one. 274965309772 this one is in China so it may take some time until you get it. It’s a little more expensive if you get one from US. Very important. Make sure the cables are long enough. The item number I included, that one comes with 16.4ft. That’s good for the G. Don’t get anything shorter. If you can wait, next one I get I will do a full video, start to finish. This will help you with the removing and installing of the headliner.

Yes, if you want more then 1200, you have to use 2 boxes. I haven’t seen any that can take more then 1200. Which again is the 1000 kit, that can take up to 1200. And to get that extra 200 cables, I usually cut the first 200 that are closest to the box. Again I’ll show you all that in the next video. I just haven been at the shop full time for a while. Hopefully soon I’ll have one up. Thanks.

What brand of the starlight?

It’s some China brand. The common stuff on eBay or Amazon. Just type in starlight kit and the number of fiber optics you want. Also there’s the twinkling type, Just use the word twinkling in your search. They work fine, haven’t had any issues yet.

Depends on how many lights you want. For a G class I’d recommend at least 800 lights. That would be around $2000. Including the kit.
