Hi Glenn, I'm looking to do something similar here in Denmark, and of course our registration rules are pretty messed up, which makes it a bit of a hassle. I was wondering if I could ask you a few questions about your truck? I know the truck is originally registered at 6500kg, but after having removed all of the fire gear, do you know the weight of the truck? For it to be possible in Denmark, i need it to get down to 3500kg

Hi. The 608 is a heavy built truck, especially the 'Municipal Vehicle' variant of the T2/LN1 long wheelbase like mine. It is just under 3000kg with nothing inside. I think there are already some lighter weight models that are as big or if not bigger than my truck. I have seen some 408 model that are huge, they have much lighter components, the O309 bus is also a much lighter build. The main problem is the motor, transmission and axle supporting drum brakes all around with very heavy cast drums and big and heavy truck tyres. You could probably reduce by 200kg by making it single wheel at the rear.
