Mercedes-AMG S63 Cabriolet - One Take
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
The Mercedes-AMG S63 Cabriolet is, put simply, one of the most rewarding places to spend your time imagineable. It's crazy fast, with a 575HP Twin-Turbo V8, incredibly comfortable on the height-adjustable air suspension, and has the best seats I've ever sat in. It may be pricey at $217,000 as tested, but if you work hard in a stressful job, this car can make your commute home a worthy reward.

I never comment on youtube, but with all the negativity online I wanted to counter that, and compliment you on an awesome review. For unscripted, while driving commentary and review I think your among the best in the business and getting better all the time. So many automotive you tubers are painful to watch that I rarely make it through, and some of the bigger budget stuff is so scripted I don't feel like I'm getting a complete and honest review. Anyways, keep doing what you do, we appreciate it.

I’m late with this, but I wanted to thank you. After originally seeing your review of the S63 Cab two years ago, I went hunting. Took your advice on depreciation and found an 18 month old car with 5000 miles for $120000. It might as well have been brand new, but 100K less. It has been the most amazing car I’ve ever owned. Big thanks for your review

Owning a S65 AMG I know how great this car is! And I know how Matt must have felt during his drive in traffic and what not .... this car is nothing but pure joy to have/own/drive ...except the costs tho...insurance, gas, service, parts, etc etc.... but all that is forgotten once you step on it and you feel the kick in the back, the grunt, the torque, doing 190 mph.....
It's a reward car for those who really work hard or Russian gangsters :)) It's definietly an O.G. car

The biggest testament to the quality of this car is how quietly you're speaking and even at speed, your voice is crystal clear without raising your voice. Incredible vehicle; great video, Matt!
Not usually into these luxury type of cars, I am more of a bargain performance kind of guy. That being said this is one phenomenal car and for the first time I understand the premium in price that you pay for luxury. Great review, stunning car.
Another great One Take! You always seem to cover the things I'm curious about that others never mention. I got a chance to spend some time with the S63 AMG Coupe so time ago and it really left me speechless. At the time I was driving a lot of luxury and exotic cars for work and like Matt, I didn't want to give it back. If the car I'd driven had been convertible, I would have felt even worse about handing it back. Those dynamic seats are just incredible, the magic body control, the adaptive cruise with emergency braking, those screens, the Swarovski crystals... I don't know... Mercedes have set the bar so high with this car, everything else just seems mundane afterwards. Great review.

The way dude is talking about the car is like an Italian man telling you how ''Orecchiette with raw tomato sauce'' is made. That's how you know dude is really in love with this S63 cabriolet....i swear he would've swapped his wife and children for that car if permitted
Driven the regular coupe....the seats were amazing and the bolsters are much faster (like you said) than previous models. Power is very good.
That is really nice executive motor. I am a big fan of the coupe, but in the right location the convertible just makes it perfect cruiser. Just effortless driving across europe or the states.

Man, luxury cars are beginning to be on a whole new level.
Nice review. In my opinion the S Class Coupe is the best luxury coupe regardless of the MSRP when new or the depreciation rate when used.
Matt, I feel like the vert is more appropriate than the coupe for this car. I'm not a huge fan of the style of the coupe for some reason but with the top down holy cow does it look like an elegant cruiser, lovely.

@TheSmokingTire I did over 1000 miles in the new E class in 1 day a mostly on motorway I can't praise enough the merc advance cruise control. You need to learn how to use it to your advantage. It takes time to get it right but once you do it is so rewarding. I did constant 160km/h day/night, rain/dry without any problem. You just put one hand on the steering wheel and once in a while you shake it little bit, not enough it will affect your direction but enough the system know you still hold the wheel. Some time you need put some input when lines are not clear etc, but after while you will learn to predict when the car will need your help or when not. The car did 99% of steering for me for whole journey. It was amazing experience.
Both the ONE TAKE and Ignition were next to each other, I picked One take!!

Hey Matt, I just thought of a cool idea for TheSmokingTire videos; I don't know the car used for the start up sound in the intro animation, and thought it would be cool if every video had a different engine start up sound. chili pom pom It looks plain in comparison to Audi and BMW. I think you won't notice how the car looks inside while driving unless you are at red lights/stop-n-go traffic all the time and like to always look around the inside of the cabin. The 2017 R8 cost about the same price as this (probably less) and have you seen that interior? They went cheapo on the design of the S63 interior. It looks like the interior of some cars '06 models. All that is better is the screen of the cluster and the center screen.
@MrMastertim

Anthony Abelardo what's up with your biased opinion on the s63 coupe/Cabriolet? Don't get me wrong the Audi R8 is a nice cheap lambo huracan, I get it but ever sat in the s Coupé ? Probably not... the only two things these cars have in common is the big engine and being a car...and calling the interior "cheapo" is funny since audi is using the same quality as Mercedes but ok ...I'll leave you the illusion that Audi is "superior" for whatever your reasons are (can't be the build quality or the quality of the interior though ;) )
@antdx316

tim seemann I sat and drove in many cars. I have a '13 750xi fully loaded. You are the type that likes things for their cost and "status" irregardless of all the details that do make a difference. Just because things cost the same price don't mean they are the same. I think the Genesis could provide a better value and give more than the offerings of Audi, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz. I was dealing w/ someone who was selling a used Aston for $80k. He said the engine is beautiful, look at it. It was 385HP and wasn't really clean. He was under the fierce impression of the status of "Aston Martin". It's like the study where some desert wasn't selling because it was "cheap". They marked up the price 2x and was selling like hot cakes. For the same thing. Now, I don't buy into anything like that as I do my own 1st hand research. With the findings of how I feel in it and why are what I base my comparisons on. Not everything as some results can only be sought in a lab like oil degradation. For me.. I like to see the results. I then analyze why, backwards. I don't think from the bottom up. I find, the world is safer if most people, 98% think from the bottom up but it's say the 2% that make the real changes to society.
WHERE DO I GET THOSE SUNGLASSES!!!!!!?????? That matte finish on the lens is SICK!
14:45 6yrs later you can find one for around 65k with 60k or less, good prediction I’d say, I’m lookin to get one with my dad and they still look amazing
Production question: I've noticed that sometimes the road lines and other objects through the windshield camera don't always look great. Jagged road lines, jerky motion and perhaps a less clear image (yes, I know the windscreen). What could be done to improve upon the forward-looking video capture and rendering? BTW, I love these videos and I try to turn off my ad blocking software when able to support them. The content, commentary, characters, cars and scenery make for a very fun 15 - 20 minutes.
