Better sound than a V8 imo. Higher pitch, smoother. V8 sound is rough and wild, and I like the elegence of the I6 more.

Only AMG can make a turbo-charged engine, not to mention a six-cylinder, sound that good.

Thats because the normal coupe amg gt has the same engine as the new Aston Martin Vanquish. Idk if the 4 door version has the same engine tough.

@@RossTheLoss There isn't a new Vanquish, but the V8 Vantage has the same engine as the coupe, but they made it sound different and nicer imo. Aston Martin V12 is made purely by them, in the new DBS and a smaller version in the DB11 AMR.

What are you guys saying? V12 Aston engines are developed and owned by Aston itself. The only AMG engine used by them is the V8 biturbo (Vantage, DB11 V8). Yes, nonetheless the sound of this GT53, which features a inline-6 engine, is much reminiscent of Aston DB11 V12. But it’s just a similarity, nothing else

Hast absolut recht. Mercedes hat Null Werbung für das Ding gemacht und letztendlich hat kaum einer was von dem Ding mitbekommen oder zumindest ist das meine Sicht der Sache. Ich hab auch nur einen Beitrag auf Instagram von AMG dazu gesehen und ich hab das Ding nur einmal auf dem Pariser Autosalon gesehen, sonst hab ich noch gar nichts davon mitbekommen.

Leistungstechnisch nicht. Aber er klingt klasse und besser als die BMW M Reihensechszylinder aus M3 und M4. Leistung ist halt bei BMW besser.

Pops sounds decent. But it needs more bass. Perhaps a resonator delete or sport cats would do it some justice.

Sounds okay but no comparison to the nice old naturally aspirated V8 engines which powered amg models back in the days :/

48 Volt Battery issues that Mercedes wants to keep quiet about... After just one week and less than 300 miles on my new 2021 AMG GT 53 she wouldn't start. I had to get her towed in to the Dealership and had to wait over 2 weeks for a 48V Battery to arrive from Germany. Its not an isolated problem, you can read similar stories on the Mercedes owner blogs ... nice car when she runs.

Why the sounds when start the engine is different? Is it already have a mild hybrid?

It's a little strained at low revs but when it gets going I'm hearing more like 12 cylinders! I still don't think the GT4 wants a straight six though, it should only be available with V8 engines.

I prefer this one. Mercedes V8s sound too dark and deep for me, although they still sound great. But yeah, it is V12-ish!

@@antoniosic6912 In future my personal theory is that an uptuned version of this '53' engine will be driving the new C63. Sad for downsizing reasons but maybe AMG will develop a new V8 with the engine from the new A45... We can but hope

@@waverleyjournalise5757 I'm going to be completely honest, the idea of an inline 6 C63 doesn't sound that bad to me. The problem will be power. This has 435HP, but it also had a hybrid system. So to give the C63 500-550 at least, they'd have to do something very clever, very complex, and very expensive. I have a 2018 S63, and it's really made to have a big V8, but idk about the C63.

@@antoniosic6912 Considering the upcoming GT73 hybrid supercar, I would be surprised if some of the technology they are working on now didn't come into the C63. I'm still hoping AMG can keep one last generation of the V8 in the C-class but it's looking more and more less likely... real shame. And you're lucky to have such a great car, I've watched and read all the reviews about that ballistic limousine.

Yes and if you chip tune it stage 2 or 3 and make the v max higher then you’ll get around 500-550 HP and a v max of 300-305 km/h.

Erjon Bardhoshi this isn’t an “R engine” the R stands for “Reihe” which means “(in)line” in German. This has an in-line 6 cylinder with 3 liters hence the R3.0 name in the description.

I have the GT 53 and it‘s amazing. When I drive thru the city everyone is looking at it. Sure the GT 63 is louder cus of the V8 engine but if you really need that is the other question.

Can buy a C43 for half the price with essentially the same engine and tune to 460hp. This car is extremely over priced. You're paying for the looks. The performance is not mind boggling considering so many cars have 400hp these days. This car is essentially no faster than M340, C43 or anything in that class and your pay $100k for it.
