I don't believe that's Aberdeenshire. Looks more like the roads in between Nairn and Ballater. The A939 that goes over The Lecht and down past Tomintoul. It's one of my favourite roads to drive on. Really twisty but with some epic downhill and uphill straight where you can absolutely ring the cars neck (all at 60mph of course)

Awesome quality video

It's fastet than Panamera, better handling, better sound. Also many reviewers say that E63 suspension is harsh and that this is more comfortable.

For what it's for, it does nothing better than the E63s estate, which is much cheaper, just as fast in the real world and much more practical. With the same tires it would do a super laptime too.

I own a GT63 S and I can tell you’re full of shit, this is literally one of the best cars AMG has ever done. The E63 is a sportier version of an E-Class, this is a 4 seater GTR.

@@brendan8108 The opening sequence is outside Fasque House, north of Brechin, and the road goes north from there, over the Angus hills and into Deeside. It's popular with cyclists, so bullbars are a good idea if you're going to be driving your GT at speed.

you are forgetting one very important thing: RUNNING COST. if you can easily afford it, treat yourself mate. i have seen a lot of people buying cars for cheap and then not beeing able to maintain them. i mean how much can it cost to repair a 30 thousand euro cl 65? A LOT, as it turns out.

Carfection = superb automotive videos, very nice car and its looks the part and does well, i would still have the E63S wagon over this mainly for the reason wagons are just more cool to me, especially when Mercedes builds them and the 4 matic in Canadian winters just makes driving that safer and better, cheers

Hardly any comments about how stunning the scenery is!!!! Look at it it's breathtaking, then add the car to it and it looks even better! Scotland is by far the most beautiful country on earth. No hate to any other country, but you just cannot compete with Scotland in terms of sheer beauty. Even their people are awesome.

The cinematography in this video is just memsmirizing.

the car's a 2nd hander for sure, but thumbs up for the cinematography and editing 👌

Not that it is any of my business, but I don't understand Carfection's business case. They have a decent amount of subscribers but with an average ad revenue of €3000 per million views (best case scenario), how an earth can you pay an entire crew of road testers and cameramen with that revenue? I would be inclined to think they have a rich dude sponsoring, who can't stand vloggers making videos of every turd they produce, and who wants decent car journalism and good quality content instead. Not hating in any form or way; i love these guys. Just don't understand how it is financially possible to do what they do.

I have a better idea...: Mercedes-AMG should make a Black Series version of this AMG GT 63S... How about that...?! The GT four door version is a much more bespoke car compared to a quite normal E-Class body..., period! All this stupid wannabe critizism on this more dynamic and better looking AMG GT 63S is quite bullshit! Coming only from people, who can't afford these cars in any case... LOL!

SJW Maniac it’s always been that way, just in the previous generations it was the cls63 that was a MUCH nicer looking version of an e63, as this GT63 is as well but even on a higher level than cls63 used to be.

So... when you think about a fact that, there are so many childish channels, which use their parents money to buy a "wicked car", go around, scream and what not, and have millions of subscribers. Then, you see these lads and their work. Ducking masterpiece, and it has 750k. But I guess that's part of what makes them so good. Not doing it just for views, but has something more in it. I come here for Henry, of course, and his solid reviews, but I also come for the entertainment from the macho car guys without a single clue, swordfighting online about cars they don't own and never will and who is better according to the spec sheets. It's light fantasy fighting with car statistics and it absolutely delivers.

This is without a doubt one of the most beautiful cars , should’ve been the new CLS but they went on a different route , i think its really powerful and full of tech and luxury but even that does not justify the price ..

I hope Nicola lets us back into Scotland soon. I miss those roads!

The AMG brand is becoming increasingly diluted. Definitely not what it used to be.

I couldn't' agree more. BMW is doing the same thing with M and it'd diluting their hardcore branding by mass producing their top tier performance cars. Audi is the only one who has figured out you need to seperate the badging, as everyone knows an RS is far different than it's base companion.

@@Poorschedriver are u joking? An RS is basically an S, with a better engine, that's all. RS5 for example, just read the reviews of it, everybody (journalists) calls it a S5 with more HP. Audi is a joke at this, while ///M and AMG totally nail it. Especially the ///M where their cars are totally dynamically different from their normal base models.

Agreed.the a35 and 43 series shouldn't be given the amg badge

The FIRST thing I noticed was how different the engine sounded than the E63

The only AMG I prefer over M5 or RS6. A perfect daily driver...

If you live in America Cadillac is the way to go. At $85,000 or a 600 HP Cadillac that is just as luxurious makes more sense but sadly not available in Europe for people.

The fact of the matter is that people nowadays prefer luxury SUVs over luxury sedans. Selling this car is akin to selling flip phones in today's day and age.

I saw this in Blackpool of all places and visibly gasped at its shape. The presence this has on the road trumps the E63, it looks like it’s sidekick in comparison.
