Hey mate awesome video, got the new 250hp merc on my haines. How does the northbank handle the chop? At 3:20 it looks like it gets super wet in the rough? Would love some feedback as these boats seem to tick all the boxes for the upgrade im looking for cheers.

I think that Mercury have managed to finally discard the the black anchor reputation, my mate had a blue band motor on his tinny and it never let us down and we are talking over 20 yrs service . Mercury must be digging it now that Evinrude has deep sixed itself !

Glad your happy with your motor. Suzuki has been my choice for decades. If I get a new motor tomorrow it won’t be a Merc. It will be a Suzuki. Mercs are ok as a spare anchor. Cheers

I was sold on a Suzuki...hook line and sinker....But I was having a conversation with my wife and said, you know what I don't see? Old 2 stroke Suzuki motors at the dock. I'm doing a Repower as we speak. I have a current running 1996 250 mercury, and nothing is wrong with it but it's pretty old and I wanted to upgrade. Mercury has been proven over and over. I can't say the same for Suzuki. And that's what has made me come to my senses.....Great video thanks Al!!

hey Al what sort of fuel usage were you getting out of your earlier verado? cheers

The old verados were similar to the yamahas around 100LPH flat-out for 42knots so a lot higher

I got a place we can catch really good fish why don't you go to the salish sea the same one islands in the Pacific Northwest Greek and cats some pretty good Chinook salmon in and in Canada as well there's lots of marine life in the cellar she can go see for yourself one day why don't you go there one day
