#MentorRCA|CSA : Breaking bad news over a possible lymphoma recurrence via remote consultation. A Zoom RCA|CSA Pilot - a tough challenge, but these are tough times. No one likes breaking bad news - but what if we take away physical presence, touch and vision. The patient cannot see me. Remember also in the RCA|CSA, the examiner is not looking at you - they are listening to you. It is the ultimate test of communication skills - Tone, Timing, Pacing, Empathy And Energy. This is by no means a perfect consultation but wanted to demonstrate how you might be assessed in the RCA|CSA, in addition to the fact that we as doctors will have all changed once this chaos is over. I hope that we will have all changed for the better. Never take communication for granted. Never lose hope. A huge thank you to the amazing and talented Jo Arber for helping with this pilot.
