Great tips! A good pea or wool coat does wonders for winter fashion when matched with the right pair of pants and footwear.

As I said in previous comment, I’m in Hokkaido and it’s in the middle of winter. My travel boots are Clark’s Beeswax leather boots. I line it with wool insoles and wear wool socks. I don’t slide anymore than those wearing winter boots. I do make sure I brush and use shoe polish to keep the inside of my boots dry. I got here when it rained a lot and so far, my Clark’s chukkas are holding up well, keeping my feet dry.

Some gems in here for every style level. Need to invest in some wool socks ASAP!

I travel for work, I wear dark colors in cold climates. In Asia, I’m in Hokkaido right now; light colors, like white, khaki and cream, is their style. The COLORS that we would wear in spring and early fall is what they wear here.

Dressing for comfort has me wearing shorts and t-shirts year-round, so the fabric isn't important to me as the look, but that is a good point in the intro. I'm mostly looking for looks I can wear while out, not looking like I'm on a ski expedition or overheating but still fitting into the season/scene.
