Megan Fox Unlocked We are Christian and in many of our churches it is either encouraged or required to attend a marriage counseling class. Usually it’s the pastor and the couple- he asks questions to bring up those ‘harder’ issues before we get married. Did you guys have to do that? They ask questions on how many kids, finances, schooling children, if one spouse was severely sick, ect...

We did go throw a weekend Marriage course with a group of about 6 couples. It covered everything from communication to budgeting.

I live in an area with lots of Mennonites (Ontario, Canada). I've always wondered, what is the dynamic between old order Mennonites and modern(is that a term?) Mennonites like you guys? Is there tension or something? I occasionally go to a pretty liberal church that is anabaptist and part of the MCC (mennonite central committee). It seems anabaptists run the gamut.

Aww! Thanks for sharing! Such a great “dating story”. My husband and I met in Bible college and had similar standards to you two, but I’d say we had less support, especially from family (which would have been nice). We started “dating” with the intent to marry at 19/20 (I’m older) and got married at 21. We have been married 17 years, and are both serving the Lord wherever He leads! We have 6 children and my husband now pastors our church! Marriage is a wonderful adventure! I’m glad to hear another couple who looks at it that way! 🥰😌💗🙌

A friend calls arguments “intense fellowship” and I think that’s an accurate statement. I have lived in Lancaster County my whole life and loved your Spring tour of our beautiful county.

Love to hear stories of how couples met and when they got married. my husband and I were 20 when we married and we have been married now for 36 years. We are best friends.

Lovely to hear your engagement story and travel the memory roads with you and Josh. I visited Lancaster county a few years ago, brought back so many memories.

That was fun! Thanks for taking us along! My husband and I were married 7 months and 16 days after we were engaged.😊 We didn't have a house to fix up because we moved into his parents' farmhouse, but they put up a new house in that time. We also lost my husband's older sister to cancer 3 months before our wedding. I think back now to all that my in laws were going through, and cannot fathom being as strong as they were.

Oh, Megan, I loved this video, seeing Lancaster County again, and hearing your dating story. My dad was born and raised on a farm outside of Strasburg. It was purchased from his elderly parents by an Amish family, and is located on what is now called Lantz Rd. My dad and mom started their family in Texas, where I was born and now reside, but I visited Strasburg last fall for the first time in about 50 years. It is a beautiful, culturally rich part of our country, and I am deeply grateful to revisit through your videos. Also, thank you for so openly sharing your values, without judgement of others. May God bless your family always. ❤️

Love this. I also grew up Mennonite in Lancaster Co, in Farmersville and and Ephrata area. My mother was a resident at Fairmount. Lived in Maine now for 27 years, was good to "travel" the roads of Lanc Co. again. Love enthusiasm and good, clean content you bring to KZread. Blessings

My ancestors are Dutch and from Lancaster area. I love to go on long weekends there to relax and recharge. You two are such a sweet couple with lovely children.

Megan, (and Josh) once again you blew it out of the park with this one. I am so proud of you for putting your moral and conservative dating journey out there for young people to aspire to. My husband and I will celebrate 28 years of marriage and we started our journey in quite the same way. I do not regret it at all. We have the most precious marriage I’ve ever known, yes I am biased. 😂 But, he is my everything here on earth. We too got married quite young and sometime wish we could have been more prepared for it all but would NEVER take it back. Now, we have two boys (23 &20) that have been able to glean from our experiences. Thankfully they have been able to partake of missions trips and have seen the world before they are married. Our oldest is in a doctorate program and the other is pursuing his dream in animation. They are each doing something we didn’t and I’m thankful for that. One day I pray their experiences and their father’s example will make them amazing husbands to wonderful ladies. ♥️ Because if they’re not they’re gonna have to deal with their momma. 😂😂😂😂😂😂

aw, thanks for sharing! we had a somewhat hands off relationship/engagement and started dating when I was 17 and he was 19. We got married when I had just turned 20 and he was 22, and he had graduated college, so very, very young and then had our firstborn less than a year later. But we don't regret that. It's been almost 19 years now (wow, what?!) anyway, I'm glad you shared your story and how a morally responsible dating relationship can turn out to be a beautiful thing and a marriage that lasts. more young people need to see that! I just LOVE Lancaster and have been there at least 6 times. Coming from southern Louisiana I don’t see those beautiful rolling hills and beautiful pastures.
