Snapshot from a memorable concert in which I performed Avner Dorman Violin Concerto No. 2 and Mendelssohn Violin Concerto back-to-back with Boris Brott and the National Academy Orchestra. A big shoutout to Toronto Summer Music (Jonathan Crow, artistic director) for bringing us together - one of my favourite festivals in Canada.
I'm gonna tell my kids this was 21st century's Heifetz.
Hearing this interpretation is like hearing someone pronounce every word they say with impeccable clarity and without mumbling!! Can't wait to see him become one of the big time violinists :D
In this age of super child prodigies, Kerson reminds us, much like what Bach did in his lifetime, that there is simply no such thing as god-given natural power in the world of music. You learn the craft bow stroke by bow stroke, interval by interval, patiently, deliberately, for a lifetime. The old masters showed us what they could do and hid how they did it, the later prodigies learnt everything far too fast and matured far too early. Kerson presented the whole art-making process as art itself. Isn’t it much more satisfying to witness a lifetime of learning and progressing than some snapshots of still paintings? May there be more Kersons!
The incredible phrasing and gorgeous sound. Easily one of the greatest violinists of the century if not one of the greatest violinists ever
If he is not the best violinist in his generation, he is top 2 violinists in the world.
When you think you heard the best rendition of this concerto you are forced to change your mind when you hear Leong. What an artist!!!!
Honestly speaking, I did not like Mendelssohn E concerto until I heard this version. The interpretation (both Mr. Leong and the orchestra) adds a lot to the original work
I love his phrasing and interpretation. We are definitely going to see and hear so much more from him. Amazing job.
Absolutely stunning style and musicality. You're always such a joy to listen to.

There is a sound quality of Kerson that so supersedes the wide sea of musicians that play this concerto! wonderful! beyond technique!
He’s incredible. I really enjoy his playing.
This is so so beautiful and sublime. Such delicate phrasing, bow control, emotional feeling, and that cadenza with the ricochet bowing wowza.
The instrument you play must really be in love with you, it can finally have a voice and sing equally on all four strings; it's waited centuries for you! You are more than fabulous. Thank you.
Maestro Kerson a wonderful musician, incredible violinist with a sound full of charme
So much music being made by all these musicians together....superb conducting....a really transcendental rendition of this concerto by Kerson Leong who gives a magnificent performance. No fear of missing notes here.❤😊
Kerson Leong est talentueux, prodigieux, théâtral, hypnotisant, électrisant, énergisant, rythmique et orgasmisque. I couldn' t maintain eye contact with him because it's too intense. A living legend and a genius that we must adored now.
My dude, I do not know how you communicate your beautiful artistry with such excellence! Bravo!
Definitely among the top 10 violinists of the last century. His technical skill is on par with Heifetz, and musicality reaches an emotional depth that few can match.
