Prachtig werk hopelijk kunnen wij het volgend jaar zingen in Brussel

Eine außergewöhnliche Aufführung mit brillanten Solisten, herausragendem Chor und Orchester und ausgezeichnetem Dirigat. Habe selbst den Elias mehrfach mitgesungen und erfreue mich immer wieder an der Aufführung der niederländischen Nachbarn.

Prachtig Oratorium en een geweldige vertolking door koor, orkest en solisten. Doorleefde interpretatie! Dank aan AvroTros voor het beschikbaar maken van deze prachtige concerten op internet!!

@@Schnittger891 na, du hast offensichtlich keine Ahnung von Musik und bist obendrein noch rotzenfrech... 😂 Die Artikulation in der Musik beschreibt zum einen wie einzelne Töne erzeugt werden. Zum anderen bezieht sie sich auf die Spielweise aufeinander folgender Töne. Diese können entweder miteinander verbunden oder durch Pausen getrennt nacheinander gespielt werden. Bsp.: Legato Staccato Portato Tenuto Nonlegato „Wie kann man nur so viel Scheiße von sich geben?!“

Esse Oratório é sensacional. Levei umas semanas pra captar o estilo já que estava acostumado a Oratórios de Handel e Cantatas, Paixões etc de Bach, que são de outra escola, de outra estética, a Barroca. Quem não conhece ‘Elias’ deveria tirar um tempo pra conhecer. Repararam como a abertura orquestral após o recitativo inicial é Beethoveniano?

Mendelssohn carrega um contraponto mais para Bach do que Beethoven, eu digo pela fuga que ele constrói na Abertura, e como ele estudava Bach, isso fica mais evidente. A estrutura de escrita é clássica. Diferente de Beethoven, Mendelssohn é romântico e sobre estilo, é devido a diferença dos períodos.

Interessante interpretatie. Het koor is overigens wel wat bescheiden van omvang. Mendelssohn zelf wilde aanzienlijk groter (100-200 zangers). Soms klink het koor me ook iets te gepolijst.

Ik ben het met je eens. Zelf ooit Elias uitgevoerd met amateur orkest en inderdaad een "dubbel koor" in een kathedraal met 1500man publiek. Geweldige ervaring

Op 3 november 2018 wordt Elias met meer dan 100 koorleden uitgevoerd in de Martinikerk te Groningen door het concertkoor KOV Groningen o.l.v. Leendert Runia. Misschien een herkansing!

Wie schwer ist es wohl, etwas in einer fremden Sprache zu singen? Weil das hier ja anscheinend kein deutscher Chor ist...

Unfortunately Mr. Morsch is out of tune many times. And he doesn't embody Elijah!

@ Pablo P: Well, I hope that he doesn't "embody Elijah" because this is an oratorio, not opera. I sense you're confusing the two. He's not supposed to be acting out anything as would be the case in opera, where he would be wearing a costume. That's not the case in oratorio. You'll notice that the superb Chorus sang with perfect intonation which is standard for oratorio. In opera, the Chorus usually does not sing with perfect intonation, unfortunately. I don't know that the opera genre has ever heard the term perfect intonation, since they rarely sing with it! But there were other musicians on stage besides Elias. The Orchestra and Chorus performed superbly. We're fortunate to have this performance to enjoy.
