Definitely one of my favorite courses I've ever seen for any skate event. Reminiscent of the THPS or Skate games, which I'm absolutely loving. We need more courses like this. Also, would love to see more real street events, maybe even some in a place where we could get some lines, not just best trick? 🤙

My humble opinion, Gustavo's Krook Nollie flip out was the most difficult trick, followed by Nyjah, then Yuto. Idk refs weren't all there in this

Yea backside flip nosegrind or backside 180 kick flip switch 5-0 is a way harder trick bc you’re landing on that sign blind and then coming off of a grind switch into the top of that transition that backtail kick flip to fakie is way easier to do.

I'm happy Yuto won, kid got so much style and did a crazy trick. To be honest I think Hoban's tailslide kickflip out got a little overrated tho even tho it's a sick trick

As someone who is not a skater, can someone explain why those tricks are so difficult? Like I saw many videos of people grinding a rail and doing some crazy trick… is it because it’s high and there’s a ramp right in front? Just curious, they look very sick still

Just imagine going to this skatepark yourself and doing any of those tricks even tho you don’t know how to skate. Now imagine people that do know how to skate, even they can’t hit these tricks easily. We’re seeing the best of the best here.

It's for the best trick, so they try to land hard tricks. Also the pressure of the contest and timelimit makes it harder. and the nature of skateboarding, someone who's never played football may get lucky and score a penaltykick against pro goalkeeper, but aint no way someone who has never skated backflip crooks that thing with lateflip out by accident lol

Watch some episodes of "My War". It can take the best skaters weeks or even months to land tricks on difficult features. These guys have a practice session and 20 minutes during the competition to land some of the hardest tricks. It takes a ton of practice and consistency to get to the point where they're able to land this stuff under pressure in 20 minutes.

And to add, pro/sponsored skaters will spend an entire day at one tough spot to land a ‘Kodak moment’ clip. These pro competition skaters have to do it on an entire new build/environment temporarily built for the weekend and land whatever trick it is under time, judge and crowd pressure.

There was a minor editing issue with the first one. If I remember the competition was cut short or something, than looped back and showed the full competition making it an hour long or something. They should've been able to edit it and leave the original though imo..

It's not. You can do your trick in any place, but the best grades will be on the most difficult obstacle, so everyone choose that

Umm, I don't know much about skating...so can someone let me know what makes this particular ramp and sign combo so difficult for them,? I feel like ive seen skaters of this caliber land crazier stuff on street obstacles just as hard as this, but im clearly wrong and obviously this one is difficult for these pros, id appreciate if someone can tell me what specifically makes this course hard..thanks (I'm being serious too, not trying to be disrespectful or anything. I don't know skateboarding like that)

Sometimes when tricks are landed super clean it’s boring af to watch am I the only one who feels this way? 😂 probably watched to many baker and cky tapes as a kid that might be why I feel that way.
