@@johncena12366 I assume because JKA fighters are a little more careful with their strikes/movements because unlike WKF this type of kumite allows full contact.

@@keanuanddoge6328 No, full contact means you can hit with full force, without holding back. JKA doesn't allow that. "Slips" are tolerated. You cannot ram your foot through someones head.

@@keanuanddoge6328 Yeah, but I agree that JKA is tougher. Most of the time they don't even use gloves and bare knuckles to your face hurts. Brain damage is rare but cuts and bruises are common. Also more grappling is allowed. WKF has much better kicking game tho, as it scores more than punches.

Because in WKF they limit their athletes a lot, not allowing various kicks or blows from their karate styles, such as Kage zuki or practically the entire gojo ryu style.

In these sports, the first one is extremely crucial because they are both skillful and fisted. The taller one has greater advantage at a distance, but it can also work in favour of the smaller one if the taller one gets closer.

Is this Shotokan? I've been training at a Shito-Ryu school and I hate it. All they care about is training specific details in Kata for tournaments, we don't even do bunkai nor do they explain what the movements are for they just want us to perfect the "dance" to win medals. The kumite training is okay but they also only give a shit about winning competitions so they wine and complain anytime we hit with the slightest bit of force, it's annoying as hell. I've noticed a shotokan school a little further from where I live and it looks more legit as far being a martial art, they even teach Kobudo weapons. I'm considering switching schools.

Yes, and no gloves at regular jiyu kumites (freestyle sparring). And you do get punched in the face regularly even though it’s only with controlled force, and bruises. Kobudo at higher level Dan. Just make sure you chose a Shoto dojo that doesn’t only focus on WKF competition sparring.

Martial arts is a mine field.. It depends on what organisations you join . In all styles There r 1000s of different organisations Govering body's.. You have to find the one That suits your needs.. Dont lose faith .. Many shotokan clubs sparr do bunkai.. .you could actually branch off and do your own thing 😊 Do your own bunkai classes.. A lot of kyokushin guys Didint like the rules.. So they created ...Kudo A blend of Judo and shotokan ..

Height didn’t matter very much in this fight if you analyze well it was technique and timing. While technique was a slight adventage for shiro (bald one) on the timing aspect shiro destroyed not even remotely close.

In most martial tournaments Mixed weight categories r normal 😊 In traditional martial arts ..as in real combat based .. Weight categories never existed.. You can opt to go into Mixed weight categories ..mixed belt levels to Example one could be in the 8-14 stone categorie.. . Or 14-18 stone categorie

If there r only a few heavier guys They get put into categories That r the closet to there own weight... Tournament fights R not prearranged. . Depending on how many people turn up ..and what levels there r on the day ..thats how they put together the categories So the way you train..is to prepare yourself to fight anyone of any weight or belt level..

Must be in the Olympics, fuck with safe fighting, combat sport is about getting punched and kicked, and that's with rules and techniques, injuries are not from accidents but according to combat rules,You get more serious injuries if you play football because of injuries suffered in an accident.
