    CMW might be my favorite young sprinter. Idk, he just seems to have so much heart. Watching that long embrace with his dad at the end, eyes closed, just taking it all in. He pushes so hard every race, every inch. Can tell it means a lot to this family. You love to see it!

    Crazy. He looked gassed with 140 meters to go. I don’t recall another 400 meter runner who can strain and flail for the final 150 meters and still maintain speed.

    He's not flailing. That's his natural running style. A lot of people have unusual running forms. It seems like during the first 300m, he's running as his coaches have "corrected" him to do... but in the last 100 he just goes all out and abandoned his form.

    That’s because it is bad especially since they’re supposed to be piqued right now and running closer to sub 44 not sub 44.5.

    Also the conditions were perfect for them to run a fast time and we’ve seen guys run sub 44 in not so perfect conditions before so yeah, hell when Micheal Norman set the collegiate record the track was wet so yeah I’m srry the fact that the fastest time was only 44.47 says a lot about the current 400m collegiate scene in that they are not as good as previous years

    Yeah, I feel you. I think he's speaking in context of holding the mantle as this years champion and future Olympian for Canada in a few months. Because you're right, independent of context 44 second 400s is blazing! Unfortunately, when ppl think someone's capable of greatness, they won't expect or accept anything else.

  • @liamclymatv1352

    @liamclymatv1352

    17 күн бұрын

    Yes hes a freshman however this performance he ran was only .2 seconds faster than his INDOOR pb, the reason I’m giving Micheal a pass rn is because he’s a pro he’s trying to pique at the Olympics and run his best times then, versus CMW is a collegiate who is supposed to piquing now, so if this is him at his best then yeah there’s a problem.

    He was expecting sub 44, it will never happen. He was basing his estimate on how fast they ran the relay legs. There is almost one second different between people running relays and people running one lap. Never base your estimate on a persons time on relays
