Akbar is down a little bit from his best at 109;more in the cl & jk than the snatch. He actually totaled more at Asian games than here. I suppose he could get down to 102 if he was supremely dedicated. He last lifted 102 in 2018 I believe. He did 180-212 still a teenager. If he can manage the weight cut I could easily see him as a medalist next year.

I don't think he will jump down to 102 with no chance at Gold, if Liu is there then he's pretty much guaranteed it, barring injury.

Does he have a better chance of beating Liu at 102 or Lasha in the supers?

@@johndoherty-hh2ck He's not beating Lasha either. If he wants any gold medals his best bet is probably staying in 109, skipping this Olympics, but participating in Worlds and other IWF events

That was a nonsense question dude. I know he’s not beating Lasha. I said that because he has a better chance at a medal at 102 than supers-even if it’s not gold. He’s not beating Gor or Varzadat either.

I’m talking about the Olympics of course. A lot of people hold Olympic medals a notch above worlds even tho in weightlifting number of entries are limited
