Liu is now further ahead of his competitors than Li Fabin and Li Dayin. He’s got to be selected for Paris. Kasabijew was competing in Athens when Karapetian and Salem were in diapers! What’s with Meso. I know you want to do your best in an Olympic year but he’s moved up a weight class and still lifting less than when he was a 96 He’s only 25 can’t be over the hill

After watch Liu huanhua 233 C&J in asian games, I found that he has amazing lock out, it seems that once he locked out, no matter how wobbly the legs are, the arm part is not moved. If Tian tao is called the best cleaner, then Liu huanhua is the best lockouter

Funny how people always point to the squat jerk when talking abt the Chinese when in reality its their split jerk that makes them so dominant, especially for their women.

that's what comes with a 190 push press at 89. He's got one of the strongest lockouts in all of weightlifting right now. I wouldn't be surprised if he could push press 200+ now at 102

@@drakebane9527 You guarantee, you say? But I have to do all the work. Sounds fair. Well, here you go: · ROBITAILLE Daniel competed for CAN at the Pan American Games in 1975; · ALLISON Heather Patricia competed for GBR at the 1999 World Weightlifting Championships; · HOUET Bernard competed for FRA at the European Masters Weightlifting Championship at 75 years of age; · THATMAN Sirilak was a weightlifting athlete for 7 years and coached for 13 years according to his IWF profile. Those are 4 of the 6 juries from Group 3 according to the IWF Start List for Riyadh 2023. I'm confident that the other two also have practical weightlifting experience, but it's hard to find info from countries such as SWA and RSA. You should understand that you don't (even try to) get in those sorts of positions unless you have a passion for the sport. It's not the first time I read a comment such as yours and it's the kind of display of ignorance that, in my opinion, ought to be avoided. Doesn't mean that you have to like the press out rule or be happy when a lift is overturned.

The 102 kg class is a new Olympic class, like the 89s. For some reason it's not yet been populated by the better 96s or 109s other than Liu. We'll see how Meso Hassona and Lesman Paredes compares once they come back from their injuries 100%. However, given that Liu managed a stellar 185/233/418 at the Asian Games as a superlight 109 (Liu was 100.8 kg) vs Akbar, things aren't looking too good for other athletes.

There's needs to be two separate competitions; one for naturals and one for untested. I'd like to see what is naturally achievable but I'd also like to see what the human body is capable of.
