When X arrives, K quickly covers the weapons and the neuralizer that are on the desk. I never noticed that before. It means that K really believes J is somewhat valuable and doesn't want external interference. This also means that during the whole neuralizer sequence, K never wanted to neuralize J, it was always meant to be an effective way for making J talk

Agent K used a retro neuralizer instead of the small battery powered one revealed much later in the film because he never wanted to erase Agent J’s memories. The intimidation factor of a neuralizer the size of an MRI machine played a significant role during the interrogation. It’s small details like this that make me appreciate the movie even more.

Nah!. I think J was messing with K while Z and Y looked on without warning K, L and O.,,,which they should have done in order to avoid a clash with C, F and O.

K's subtle disgust when the other guy dismisses the non-human death is nice. Also the way Brolin exudes that much more age and experience than Will despite him only being a year older than him.

They *do.* That much is made explicitly clear to J before he goes back in time. The protocol is "No." By the time of MIB3, J is one of the more senior agents in MIB, and he still didn't have clearance to know it even exists, so it is a *VERY* well-kept secret. The only reason they end up telling him and letting him go on the mission is because he is the only one who COULD due to his connection to the whole affair - and because the criminal in question has apparently himself gone back in time, so it is necessary to do so in order to catch him and fix the timeline.

Brolin as a young Tommy Lee Jones is a stroke of genius. It's rare to have a casting of the same character so masterfully chosen.

This is easily Josh Brolin's most underrated role, he was incredible.

Funny thing even though young K was 29 in the movie, Josh Brolin was 44 when he played the role, while Tommy Lee Jones, when he started playing K in 1997, was 51.

The Schtaron response from j is exactly the type of response someone would give when they’re lying, put on the spot and they come up with something outlandish to try and cover their tracks, great writing

Josh Brolin deserved an Oscar nomination for this performance. Just like Tommy Lee did for the original.

I remember watching this for the first time when I was little and I was fully convinced that Tommy Lee Jones just had makeup/effects on to make him look younger. Josh Brolin was the perfect choice for this role.

I love the pause after J spills the beans. You can see K trying to find some fault, some flaw in J's explanation, some contradiction between what he's said and anything he's done up to this point, but it all fits. The only remaining flaw is that I imagine K isn't yet aware of time travel, but he knows better than to dismiss something as impossible simply because he's never encountered it.

This movie was good. So cool how it came full circle when you realize that K had been watching J growing up most of his life because of his Dad's sacrifice.

This is by far the best one in the franchise. Sooo many laugh out loud moments.

when i was 9 i thought that they used CGI in Tomely Jones to rejuvenate him

4:35 I really like how "J" still listens and respects "K" even though he is younger here. When "K" stares at him seriously "J" shuts up. XD

Just noticed how K rushed to cover up J's stuff at 1:20

Goes to show how he suspected J being an agency guy from the start. Putting him in the giant neutralizer then aborting at the last second was a necessary confirmation tactic

My fav part

Josh Brolin played the hell out of his character. He had me fully convinced he was just a CGI'd young Tommy Lee Jones.

that o and k is secretly in love just makes that ok line perfect lol

I slept on this movie until it showed up on my Netflix feed, but it's so underrated. The 60's Sci-Fi costumes / makeup on all the background aliens is just perfect.

I've enjoyed every role Josh has done starting with The Goonies.

this movie had the perfect "didn't see that coming ending".. a nice capstone to the series.

I have watched this film multiple times and it never gets old. Absolutely fun movie

Something I noticed was how the boss says “any human casualties?” as if the alien casualty didn’t matter. How the hell are you meant to run an alien organisation if you don’t care about the aliens’ lives?

That “Alright” kills me every time.
