From all good fathers everywhere... finally someone thanks their dad. Good job and good run young man.

Man that really put a smile on my face when he said it. I'm sure his dad was going bananas watching this race. Perhaps even shed a tear all things considered.

Wow! That's an incredible technique. To some it may look "energy wasting", but is it? His unique arm movement is in rhythm/ cadence to generate lift, propulsion and balance, especially in the last (say) 150M. As aerodynamically inefficient as his form is - Morales obviously compensates for that with more forward momentum (propulsion). IMO, everyone's brain is uniquely programmed to their own body to establish their body mechanics. Not withstanding the (race) distance, most have similar mechanics. His is just different than what we consider normal.

Yeah especially when it comes to arms, people have different caveats to their running posture depending on their proportions and day-to-day activities. Just for example, runners who have to sit behind a desk for 4+ hours a day will almost always have a slight forward lean at the neck. Idk what causes Christopher to swing like that but clearly it works well to some degree.

yes if they/he change his form. He will get slower and more prone to injury. It was the same with DeGrasse. He had that unique asymetrical straight arm swing but ran super fast. Then they changed it and he lost speed and got injured.

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Stop trying to give EVERY track athlete the SAME form. It’s not a one size fits all. Check the clock. Bye. 🙄✌🏾

CMW must have incredible speed endurance. He doesn't look nearly as tired as Wayde van Niekerk does after a 400. Yes, I know Van Niekerk has run a full second faster, but he had to be carried off the track on a stretcher after one of his faster races.
