MemoryScreen #25 Marc Johnson
For this 25th remix video, I have something special lined up. One of the all time best technicians, Marc Johnson. The perfect example of how to skate, executing all the tricks in the best possible way, innovating, and most important, making it look all so magical! I would always envision his skating while trying to learn tricks.
This remix is heavily inspired by Transworld/Crailtap/Tiltmode video's, which had a huge impact on me growing up. first song is MJ's song in Modus Operandi (Built to Spill - The Plan). Second song is from Tiltmode's Man Down, the opener part of Paul Sharpe. (Ladytron - The Way That I Found You)

I've always known this, but all the skate media that's out there kinda takes your mind away from it...Marc Johnson is the most artful form oriented skateboarder...the way he does tricks and rides away from them is second to none...actual poetry in motion...thanks for this edit...I needed this

Skated with this guy a bunch. It was unreal every time.
Khaki baggies and prestige white shoes. Kids will never know the steez of the 90s haha. Marc is pure fun on a board. Mixed with god like skill. Drool
I love how Marc gets half way through a trick, knows he's already gonna make it then just kinda freezes and enjoys the ride. It's a very unique style.

Seriously brings a tear to my eye. One of the best styles of all time on top of some amazing tricks and and a great eye for originality. One of the best to ever kickflop the stuntwood.

It's crazy how far skateboarding has come since 2002, yet this is 100% a part you would see from modern great skateboarders. Marc Johnson is definitely one of the best and most creative skateboarders to ever do it.

I just told the same to my wife, marc was 20 years ahead in skating issues, i remember the first time i saw modus operandi and i was like "this video is boring" until the marc part, i was very hyped and i never heard of him before, i was like "there are other dudes that skate like rodney and daewon this is awesome" the first song make me very happy it makes me remember those old good times as a teenager skaing all day long 😊

For sure. When i think of “pound for pound” best skaters of all time, my top 3 would probably be: Marc Johnson, Chris Cole, Shane Oneil.
So awesome that he has The Plan by Built To Spill for the opening song.
