@@SeanTheCanadianCoyle Good call. Thank you.
I grew up in the San Fernando Valley 70-80s and for 26 years worked in most of it's neighborhoods. Sad to see what it has become.
Thank you Kurt, I really enjoy these Valley episodes. Looking forward to the 3rd episode of Valley filming locations. ❤
first thing I do is start the video and then hit the like button before i even watch it I love living in Toronto Canada but as a kid in the 80's I always wanted to live in SoCal and skateboard all the parks... Thanks Kurt...

It was for the most part. Like anyplace else I would imagine. Except you could go to the beach every week. Or the mountains. Or the city... :)
Yes definitely more videos like this 👊😊
That was fun 😊 thank you
Great work buddy let’s get you to 100k
This is great!
Great as always Kurt!

Your videos can never be too long! They're amazing. Thanks for putting them together!
Always Totally Awesome Videos! SUBSCRIBED!!
Kurt your videos are always so good. You are a treasure trove of L.A. location factoids.
What a great place to grow up man, your life was a movie set lol!
Once again love the content. Keep them coming 👍🏻
What a fantastic, informative video!! Appreciate the time you put into it!!
Great work Kurt! There is so much history, it’s pretty overwhelming. The California weather really is a paradise. It’s too bad we are stuck in such a divisive and modern age today.
Awesome video! Might as well do a part 3 & 4 Lol
...gotta luv❤them 80's baby!😮💯👍✌!
another awesome time hanging out and watching movie stuff. Thanks man for your entertainment.
Cool informative video, thanks
Love these videos, it’s so cool to see these places and how close they are.

Keep it up and I don’t mind more filming videos !! So much to know about in the valley !!!
Love these videos!
Love these! I really appreciate the time, effort and research it takes to make videos like these possible. They're so much fun to watch. Thanks! 👍
Thanks Kurt for another excellent video. Look forward to the next one.
Seeing all these just reinforces exactly why I'm so glad to have left S. Cal after 55 years. Interesting video, well done though
Amazing, thanks for the tour!
I love palm trees. - a Chicago guy
Keep these videos coming. You’re just scratching the surface of all the valley filming locations. Definitely check out Licorice Pizza. Lots of Chatsworth, Canoga Park and Encino locations.
Another cool trip down memory lane. Thanks Kurt!
I went to Marty's house once and a cool neighbor came outside and gave us some print outs of photos they had taken while Back to the Future had filmed there.
"kicking the brick" made me LOL.
Please do a 3rd video. I was raised in Sunland and had no idea about all of these things in the Valley.
You really should be using your Thomas Guide driving in the valley.
You are absolutely knocking it outta the park with your videos, Kurt. You’re a hard worker with a ton of heart and I’m glad your channel is picking up traction 🙂
I really needed this today.
Man that took me back in so many ways. Daayum that was very well done and appreciated ✌️💪😉
My favorite playlist from you KC. I was born in 1980 at Sun Valley Hospital and grew up in NH living on Strathern/Tujunga. Until we moved to Mexico when i was 17 😢.
I grew up in Massachusetts, currently live in Virginia, and absolutely love this series! Keep 'em coming, Kurt! 😁
I ♥this channel
What an adventure to go along on this fun time travel ride!!! Thank you & more please!!!
Incredible work. REALLY takes me back to growing up there in the 80's. Thank you!
Awesome Video, Thank you! Lived in the valley for 15 years; saw Los Toros, Cowboy Palace, Tommy Burgers, and a Jack n the Box (crack!) Saw several films being made...one was a date night at the Westin Bonaventure...True Lies was being filmed!
Great vid! I came to LA in the early 80s but spent most of my time in Mid-city, Hollywood and West Side. The Valley was always that place where you could start anew or over again. Lots of inexpensive places to rent for late teens and newly divorced dads. My favorite Valley places to visit are 6842 Valjean Ave, Van Nuys and Van Nuys high school. Both are close to each other. The Valjean is where Industrial Light and Magic was founded and where they filmed the Star Wars (1977) special effects. Van Nuys high school is where they filmed Fast Times at Ridgemont Hight, two films that had an impact on me.
I really don’t watch these type of videos. But really enjoyed. Thanks
Awesome!! Love these SFV vídeos!!!!
aps fantastic as always, i really love this place, has such a vibe even now .. i can imagine only what it was like back then ..
Please make a Part 3
Thank you for taking us 80's kids down memory lane! Fun fact: I live in the apartment building that's shown as the exterior apartment building of Johnny Lawrence in the series Cobra Kai. 😁
GREAT STUFF!!!!
Solid Intel thanx cuzz
WOW Kurt! On this video you showed a lot of places that I have gone to or have driven by. I lived at one point on Lindley and Chatsworth. There is a vet’s office on Chatsworth and White Oak and I always took my pets there. Great memories on this video Kurt. Thank you!
Grew up in the 50s, 60s and 70s in The San Fernando Valley. I worked for studios in both San Fernando and Santa Clarita Valleys. And of course all over Los Angeles County.

wow, growing up in a place like NYC back in the 70s those areas seemed so beautiful when we saw them on TV. Was it a great place to live? It appears now to be all latin.
Wow, this video was totally tubular! I somehow stumbled across your channel and subscribed! Thanks for the content!
Please do a 3rd one. This is fantastic stuff. love seeing the real locations by someone who knows the area so well.
That was fun! I’ve got to make it down to the Brady house! It was such a huge part of my childhood ❤
Awesome.
Spahn Ranch was fairly close to the Munchbox. Susan Atkins used to strip across the street, just down from the Cowboy Palace and Manson would wait for her at the Munchbox.
Thanks!

This brings back such a great memories
Great stuff. Appreciate the effort you into these, especially for us NYC area folks that grew up watching so many movies/tv shows filmed in the valley and wondering what those places were like in real life. As for the Office, I always could tell that was anywhere but Scranton due to the blue skies you'd always see when they filmed and some of the trees that are distinct to LA.
Amazing!

Did you go to Lancer's?
Great video!!!! I have a few memories of the Valley as I was also bussed out to the Valley from Los Angeles. I went to Kennedy High and that school was used for the Brady Bunch episode when Greg was the photographer for the football games after getting hurt (I think) and not being able to play. I also went to CSUN and was leaving track practice when the gym, a shortcut we always used to go to the locker room, was being used for filming the first Karate Kid. Me and a friend watched them film from under the bleachers. No one knew we were there lol. I also have an Encino Man memory, because I wrote and produced a song for the movie. The scene where the police bust in the bar. Paulie and Brendon hung out at the studio while I recorded the song. And also, JFK high had the tallest high school basketball team in the country that year. Two 7 footers, a 6'11 and 6'10 and a guy named Zack who was under 5'8". But Fred Lewis Grandpa from The Monsters was a basketball scout and he was at every game during basketball season. He looked exactly the same. Very cool but crazy to see him every game and then go home and see him on TV lol. Sorry this was so long
I love this video so much. So many great film and tv show locations. Gotta love some Rosanne and Back to the Future in one video. Subscribed. M&L
Seen this one before awesome 😎
there use too be a comic book shop called forbidden planet back in the early 90s then changed the name too outer limits i would go there all the time it was on ventura blvd and van nuys one time i walked in with my cousin and michael jackson was in there really nice guy got too meet mj
Saticoy is a tight, almost hidden, busy street. One time, I went to to visit a guy who sells on Ebay and he tells me the Office was shot at that Quixote bldg, which was literally a 5 minute walk. Before covid 2020, the gate was not covered. And the La Bamba school looks like Roscoe Blvd. Thanks dude.
that was fun 😀
Take me back!!! We had the best movies and music... hands-down! 😭

So did I and so do I. They started forced bussing in the 70s when I was in Jr High and High School. It caused problems and violence from the black students. I was one of their victims. 😢 Trash violence, crime, graffiti and people speaking other languages forming mini pockets is what it became. So sad, it is destroyed, never will be the same.

Awesome video from someone in the Midwest. Sad how once bustling locations now sit nearly vacant. Life was really great in 80's and 90's America.
Fun note on Radford Studios. This is where interiors and the exteriors for Gilligan's island was filmed. There was an outdoor lagoon which is now a parking structure unfortunately. In fact, in the opening credits, when they show the beach shore, you can see the edge of one of the sound studios i believe in the upper left..a mistake never recognized for some reason.
Woo-hoo, I am the first to comment. Great job, Kurt. Keep it up,my friend. I have watched all your valley videos.

Love these vids bro. I'm a screenwriter and split time between LA and Indy. I rent a studio from a couple in Woodland Hills and when I hit a wall in writing, I'll go take a drive to filming locations to remind myself why I love the industry so much. I often visit filming locations from ENTOURAGE and some of the places you've covered. Look forward to driving by some of these other places. Your vids are much appreciated.
Awww!! I work at Redford and am always amazed at the history of the place! Also… they filmed Falcon And The Snowman at the old Studio City Theater.
I spent 4 days just visiting film tv location last time in LA. So much fun, so many miles on the rental..
The school where Daniel From karate kid went to was also used on the show "Chips" with Erik Estrada. It's where one of the characters looked young enough to fit in as a high schooler to bring down car thieves. Danny Bonaduce played on the same episode.
Wow!! Very interesting and I really enjoyed this filming vlog! I may take a drive out there to check out these places for myself!
Hey...I took photos of you scoping my neighborhood for your ET coverage a few years ago....did not know that was you til I saw your video on the ET filming sites...big fan, cuz 80s and the Valley was my generation...and now I live in ETs old stomping grounds....phone home 4 ever dude....
Right when you started i thought you were going to show the cafe and shops from "The Nest" (1988) as it's right there on Tujunga. Love that movie. Hope you do more of these as they are really enjoyable.
