And unlike what some misinformed people seem to think, the K9’s love every single second of work. They are brave, loyal, and amazing! They should be protected by government to have medical care during their service and through their retirement years

The dogs also should be protected with Kevlar. They are to precious to loose them. RIP great dog Leo. 😢❤

My sincerest condolences to Leo's handler, the handler's and Leo's family, the department and other handlers. So appreciative to see all the other handlers supporting Leo's family. Its hard to bring me to tears but this got me.

I’m always heartbroken 💔 when a K9 passes……. But with K9 Leo, it was especially difficult to digest, because there were updates of his conditions….that he was stable but critical……then out of the blue his passing…… I remember breaking down for him and his handler 🥲🥲🥲 As much as I’d like to have a loyal dog with me that I’ll love and care for as long as it lives, there are too many reminders of how I’d never be able to recover its loss. K9 Leo, you were a Brave Boy. You’re now with God and can now run free and have as many toys and treats as your pure heart desires. We will miss you on this earth, but I’m sure you’ll see us one day. Be well and rest well, the Goodest of Boys 🙏🙏🙏

Leo must have been a very well trained and brave police dog to sacrifice himself and give up his life to save and protect the other k-9's and officer's. And I really hope whoever that horrible criminal was that shot him goes to prison for the rest of his life or any other bad place because NOBODY should ever treat anyone so terribly like that.
