"Is this information still relevant to Melty Blood: Type Lumina?"
The changes to Shield, Heat, and Moon are the main things to keep in mind. But if you can wrap your head around that, this information is still mostly relevant.

CORRECTION: Apparently the counter-hit system in CC wasn't actually new to CC but there since MB vanilla. And that's a tidbit of misinformation, the only flaw in this video, I can no longer take away. Oops. This won't bother me on an extremely minor level for the rest of my life :^)
Also should've mentioned in the video in regards to Shielding that for Shielding A Normals, you can Shield them either way *if they can be mashed repeatedly*. If they cannot (e.g. H-Ryougi 5A, C-Seifuku 2A) they have to be Shielded properly; the same as Bs and Cs.
_________________________________________________________________
Fun Fact: This video was originally supposed to have presentation style akin to Dandy J's Guide to KOF video. You know, characters talking directly to you, boxes and text which match the actual in-game font. Unfortunately, it turned out there was no way that was going to work in any way because of Melty's sprite sizes relative to screen space. Shame too cause I wanted to make the presentation different this time since the game is special to me. Plus I wanted to have editing a little more creative than just default text media for once. On the plus side I ended up saving myself a lot more work but still, maybe one day.

Hopefully once this games drops people will release guides/ tutorials on the characters, and not just drop combo videos, since combos are arguably the least important part of a fighting game, with other areas like options your character can do in neutral, and mix ups being WAY more important. In regards to what I'm hoping for in these character specific guides is at the bare minimum an overview on all the characters normals, specials, and supers and to what there intended purpose is. Extra points if they explain the mix up situations like in MB with Akiha's pinwheel set up. And I Will definitely be on the look out for a Red Arcrueid guide day one, since she is currently the character I'm the most interested in, though that could change once powered Ciel (best girl) and Aoko is released. Here are some examples of detailed guides that ACTUALLY have useful information, and isn't just a combo video with me using arguably the most complex and unique 2D fighter on the market currently that you can find on this platform: 【BBCF2】 Izanami Blockstrings & Pressure Breakdown @ 【BBCF2】 Izanami Ribcage & Okizeme Guide @ Blazblue Central Fiction Beginner Azrael Guide @

This makes full moon look kinda garbage. If I understand it correctly, you're sacrificing access to half of all the system mechanics and mixup tools just for slightly better frame data, which then barely matters because non-full moon characters have reverse beat to do the same things.
