Can the people in the chat stop telling them what to do all the time? Helpful suggestions are one thing but things like talking too much and stop looking at chat are just mean feeling. You can just stop watching if you are annoyed. Saf and Tyler are doing great!

That such a great way to explain it! This is something that should be a fun, "stream"-of-consciousness shared experience between incredible people. And I hate the idea of Saf and Tyler feeling anxious to be in this space that should be a chance for positive interaction...

Honestly I think the way to deal with annoying people in the chat is to not give them attention (which Saf and Tyler aren't too good at either). There's a pattern of people acting up in the chat and then people in the comment section getting mad at them (very fairly). But I feel like it just gives shitty people in the chat who probably make inflammatory or rude comments for attention exactly what they want - attention from Saf/Ty and then sustained attention from the comment section. Tbh eveb if its entirely reasonable that your mad about the comment (it was uncalled for) ranting about the rude comments in the chat doesn't actually stop them, if anything it only encourages them because people know they'll be talked about or gives them uneccesary attention. It's a public chat on the internet where everyone other than Saf and Ty are anonymous so it's just expected that people will be rude unless Saf and Ty more heavily moderate their streams like other streamers do. People have been complaining about how awful the chat is for 2 years and the chat hasn't really gotten any less annoying (the spam is gone though). And seeing a negative angry chat and then a negative angry comment section reacting to the chat gets kinda tiring. Maybe we can just acknowledge that these comments are intended to be inflammatory and dumb and not humour them by giving them even more attention? Or encourage Saf and Ty to get more mods and make rules so that the chat is a better environment? Something to fix the problem instead of perpetuating it. (Also within the context of the stream it's kinda established and understood by even the hosts that Tyler talks a lot or 'too much', there's even a genersl bit in this stream where Safiya doesn't listen to everything Tyler says because of how much he talks, and in this specific one almost cuts his hair _because_ he's talking a lot, so its entirely possible the comment wasn't even meant to be rude and was just acknowledging in a light hearted or teasing way that Tyler is very chatty today, even more so than usual, something they've all admitted is true lol.)

I don’t know if I’m the only one who feels this way, but I can’t ignore it this time. I absolutely abhor the chat most of the time. Not them reading and interacting, but the things that the people in the chat do and say. Safiya and Tyler are damned if they do, damned if they don’t. And 99% of the time, it’s absolutely unreasonable. Tyler puts a knife in a block: CHAOS. They mess with eggs: CHAOS. They DON’T read the chat: CHAOS. They DO read the chat: CHAOS. The shit talking their appearances, saying Safiya is doing something wrong, Tyler is talking too much, etc. is just disgusting and beyond rude to me. They literally cannot do anything without SOMEONE coming for them. They’re, in my opinion, the most chill, down to earth, and cool people. The lives make me feel like I’m hanging out with them, and I can’t help but roll my eyes and get defensive over my (in my head) friends every time the chat is so… Unfairly rude. It’s a constant I’ve seen throughout all of the lives and I don’t know if I’m just being dramatic and sensitive to it because I can literally SEE how it bothers them, but it makes it so unenjoyable to see so much… Backlash. For everything they do or don’t do. I can see the stress on their faces. Not only that, but Saf has mentioned numerous times, that she/they haven’t done (or have done) something because they’re afraid of how the masses would take it. It’s just unfair pressure that they get put under and they handle it with GRACE. On a cute note to all of this- I adore how Tyler always comes to Saf’s defense whenever she clearly gets rattled by something someone (or someones) has said and tries to get her to ignore it. Or when people are rudely dissing Tyler for literally no reason, she is like “hey, he’s human and has feelings.” Okay. Rant over. I loved the video, as always. 💙

Agree 100%. I find the chat very immature - not talking about age, as have no idea how old a lot of the chat is, just about attitude. They don't acknowledge that Saf and Ty are fully grown adults in their 30s (or about to be in their 30s can't remember their exact ages), who are successful and have survived very well somehow (sarcasm) without the "advice" chat gives them. I would love to see Saf and Ty give themselves permission to set healthy boundaries with the chat. They seem like such kind souls who never want to upset anybody, but they also seem to get stressed and it's very sad to watch. You're not alone in feeling this way!

Like, they kind of laugh and roll their eyes and I’m like “YES TELL THEM, ANGELS. THEY ARE BEING RIDICULOUS!” It genuinely bothers me to my core to see how people react to them and I’m like “you do realize that they’re human and not robots? They aren’t doing anything wrong. It isn’t up to them to tell you how to wash your hands.” I understand that they have a huge audience and there’s plenty of impressionable youth looking up to them, but they’re NOT DOING ANYTHING WRONG. They’re just living their lives. People act like they need to have the answers for everything, do everything perfectly, and can’t be wrong about something even small like Saf incorrectly quoting a 190 b.c. crocheter or something stupid like that. It’s obvious how restricted they feel. I’m tired of these weirdos and their sense of entitlement towards the way that they do or say things at all times. I don’t want them to get so stressed out one day that they just… Stop. Because, honestly, I wouldn’t blame them. Either that or just completely cut off contact with fans and “friends.”

@@stephanieetm also! Saf is turning 30 in July and Tyler is 32 or about to be 32. I can’t remember his birthday, I just know he’s a few months older than my husband, lol. They’re fully grown adults who are educated, extremely successful, and just trying to vibe out in this world. Someone recently tried to imply that Saf is (getting) old because she’s about to be 30 and it bothered her for a split second because it clearly wasn’t an insecurity she had beforehand, but someone saying it made her have an existential crisis on camera. Once again, chat disappointing me. 🙃😂

I think the mods should be more heavy handed when it comes to deleting comments. There's no reason for people who say something unnecessary/rude to get attention, especially from Saf and Tyler. Honestly they probably need more than just 2 mods. Or just have Carly be in control of reading the chat

Saf don't worry too much about what people say in the chat. There will always be annoying people that pick on small things and criticise you. Please don't let it get to you too much. After all, this is free entertainment for us, you don't have to do the live streams and we really shouldn't be complaining about anything! They're probably not even proper fans. I don't like people to affect your confidence.

Yes! You can't please every single person. They should really try and not read comments as much, you can tell it affects the both of them whenever something rude pops up (and that's probably why people do it too - to see their reactions). They should just focus on the streams and let Carly read the comments or something, until they're confident enough to not let it get to them. It sucks seeing this happening every stream.

Agreed. Feels trolly. You get them on twitch but as Saf and Tyler aren't streamers originally, they're pre made video creators who spend hours making it perfect to their comfort levels. I just want them to know trolls be trolling and even the non trolls are probably just well meaning kids to be honest.

I agree that more mods/heavier modding would make the experience for everyone better. Some streaming channels also have “nightbot” that sends out messages reminding chat to be respectful. Your automated messages could also touch on the fact that these activities have been beta-tested, they’re for entertainment purposes only and while feedback is appreciated, you guys are totally safe.

I love how positive the comments are compared to the chat. Chat is super rude. How the fuck you gonna say Tyler talks too much?? This is THEIR stream first of all. Would you rather they sit there in silence?? I love listening to Tyler's stories, they're super nostalgic and fun. Chat makes me so angry every time. Btw, just a random add on lmao, that episode of Rugrats with the watermelon was my favorite as a kid and I got excited when Tyler remembered it 😊

Tyler is so likeable; I love when he goes on tangents and stories lol. He has perfect chaotic good energy

I wish the chat would stop being so rude all the time. You can clearly see that their bad "jokes" hurt saf and ty's feelings and it happens every stream. I feel so bad about it, they're people with feelings and you're hurting them. They clearly make them uncomfortable and self conscious with the way they cover the stuff people point out and constantly apologize for the way they look. The chat needs stricter rules or just have someone behind the camera read the important ones.

I agree, I feel like if viewers are going to be so rude and petty, why even bother watching at all? It kind of ruins it for the rest of us when trolls enter the chat just to say crappy stuff about Safiya and Tyler. It adds no value to the experience and just serves to (probably) increase Saf and Tyler's self consciousness in the future.

I watch some of the jarvin johnson bingo lives (afterwards) and they are so rude to him for no reason. He fights with them every time and ruins the fun for everyone. I feel chats do more harm than good at this point. I mostly watch on KZread afterwards when I have time and don’t even see it anyways. So I agree, the chat is not necessary and is more peaceful without it.

Ty, loved your Crusty Dumpster Cat tribute, it's good to hear you speak of his reality, he was what he was unapologetically , the absolute King.

I have to say, I take exception with the statistic that 1.5 billion Peeps are *eaten* every spring. They might *sell* that many, but I guarantee nowhere near that many are actually *eaten* 😅

For the texture to be more marshmallow, you would have to whip it with a hand mixer to add the air back into. Something to consider if you try it again. Which I would definitely watch. Also try cornstarch instead of powder sugar for the dusting.

Peeps actually does other holidays, too. I’ve seen the Halloween ghosts, pumpkins, Christmas trees…. I even remember seeing Thanksgiving turkeys once. They’re all the same marshmallow flavor, though, if memory serves. One might have had a bit of cinnamon flavor.

just a suggestion here, as I'm an outsider and I don't know the inner workings, but I do believe there should be a rule about potential damaging comments on chat, mods should delete comments like "xx is talking too much" outright and give them a warning, that even if they might have not meant ill, out of context it sounds bad and to think before commenting something like that. I don't know if chat has a bot but if it doesn't, it's just having that text of that warning copied on a document on the computer and @ the person in question after deleting their comment. Just a suggestion, it just makes me sad when Saf and Ty get tripped by chat. Let's try to make these streams a safer place for them, guys.

When he was talking about Crusty being a poultry bird, it reminded me when my outside cat killed a mouse and gave me it's tail. No body in sight, he just ripped off the tail and left it on my back porch.

I thought I would tune out on 1 hour lives, but this is the only channel that keeps me engaged. I love the stories and conversations. I like hearing Carly interact behind the camera. It provides authenticity to the stream. Also, the conversations prevent boredom of waiting for the food to finish in the oven and the freezer. I do not get what the chat is on about.

i think the problem with the texture is melting and stirring destroyed any aeration that creates the marshmallow texture. it probably needed to be whipped, which the blender method could potentially provide

The live chat in the streams are the determinant to the streams themselves. People are absolutely insufferable and actively make Safiya and Tyler's dynamic worse to watch. Both of them are clearly afraid of doing or acting the way they feel fully comfortable

For combatting a sugar crash: 1. Food with lots of protein (like a pepperette stick, cheese, or nuts) 2. whole grains & fibre (I love oatmeal!) 3. Fortified chocolate milk (DF is fine - just make sure there is high mineral content!) and in a DIRE pinch 4. Orange juice. These are my go to’s when I have a migraine! All the best 😃

I laughed quite loudly several times during this from all the funny commentary you 2 had. Also, I am diabetic and feel like I am in a diabetic coma from just watching lol.

Saf and Tyler are doing great, I love this channels' hectic hang out vibe, the chit chat, the merch updates, the franken experiments, the interactions behind the camera team it's all good.

I always wondered how banana candy gets its flavor. When I was in the Bahamas, I got a banana off the tree. It actually tasted like banana candy. If I could find a way to grow a banana tree in Wisconsin, I definitely would.

I don't know how big your space is, but have you thought about a screen off to the side, so that you could still interact with chat, but not need to have a computer as a distraction on the work table or taking up space?

These streams are a Godsend! I fall asleep to them every night, you guys talking is crazy soothing!

Yeah I never realized what a difference that makes before, but it's pretty important as far as texture goes

I love this stream!!!💕 I listen to it while sewing, but I really dislike the chat, they always make you guys feel bad about yourselves. I know it's not possible to just not let it get to you, just know that you have other people watching and loving these streams that are not just trying to upset or get a rise out of you two.

Safiya’s opinion about Peeps is the exact same as mine. I got a memory today on my Facebook about 2 years ago, and I had the normal Peeps dipped in chocolate AND there were white coconut ones dipped in chocolate- WHICH ARE AMAZING. I need to find those caramel filled ones too lol

I have a new bingo square suggestion: Tyler responds to a situations with a profound quote (whether sourced from a profound source or not) also, if you want to crisp up your peeps, leave them open for a while so they get nice and stale. it sounds crazy, but it's actually really good!
