    One tip for those wax soaked cotton balls is to use them as fire starters. I'll throw two in when lighting our fire pit and it really helps to get the fire going. Also, when I used to use plug in warmers that couldn't go in the freezer, I would wait until the wax cooled and solidified then I'd place one ice cube on the wax; wait about 10 minutes and the wax pops right out. The trick with this is not to forget and let the ice cube melt all the way! :)

    I usually turn on the warmer for about 5 min, until the wax is soft but not melted and it slides right out. I'm not patient enough for the freezer method.

    When I have my warmers off and I want to change the wax, I turn them on for just 2 minutes and use my little Scentsy spatula and it comes right out. You can always use a paper towel too. The wax is not melted enough to be messy, it’s just soft and easy to remove. 😊

    I just wanted to say that I appreciate that you haven't fallen down the vendor wax rabbit hole. Even if the vendor ships to Canada I can't afford the wax, plus shipping, plus duty. Scentsy is easy to get and, like you said, has a lot of variety. I also use Walmart wax but find that the quality is pretty hit or miss. I thoroughly enjoy your channel! Take care! ~Christine P.S. I use the dump and wipe method of cleaning out my warmers. ☺

    I just started using clear silicone cupcake cups in each of my warmers. Once it cools down, the wax just pops right out. It also allows me to switch scents before they have run out and save the half-used wax for later. I used to use the freezer method too. That worked great until I broke a lid. LOL

    Yay for a video with Lisa! I was laughing at your description of your husband 😂 I’m actually the one that would likely walk right into one of the plug in warmers if they were at the floor. I love them for the bathroom but definitely not out in a hall. I use the cotton balls and I do feel it’s wasteful. I might just do them for my upstairs one and try other methods for the downstairs ones. I just don’t want to be carrying the dishes downstairs as then back upstairs. I also don’t love having to remember to get the dish back out from the freezer and then wait for it to come back to room temp to turn it on.

    I use freezer method for paraffin, and hot dump (and wipe dish out with TP) with softer wax. A couple of my dishes are rounded on the bottom, making it difficult to pop frozen wax out, so I reserve those for my parasoy, which I hot dump. What I kind of like about hot dumping is that the dish remains warm so I can get a new throw going immediately!

    I don't typically let my wax sit around and cure, either. Maybe a week. But I have so much wax that by the time I get around to it again it's been cured a while. But I never worry about cure time.

    putting dishes in the freezer is something I wouldn't do as your freezing then letting it slide out then popping back on your warmer I would worry the dish would crack and cottonballs is wasteful where I live people will weigh their wax dumps and have people guess the weight for waxy prize I let the wax cool then as it turns back to wax I use my scentsy spatula to pop it out, but we all do what works for ourselves eh I love Scentsy to but for one bar we are now over £7 and 6 cost over £36 thats huge jump in space of few months considering 1 bar was £5 and 6 was £27.50 you would love vendor wax and I buy from Silkeys she is brilliant and get it posted to UK works out cheaper to, I do enjoy your video's xx

    I adore the look of Scentsy warmers but I will never buy another one because they are expensive & I don’t get a good scent throw using Scentsy wax or other brands. I have a square Scentsy bulb warmer that never melts the wax in the corner of the dish. My Tiger’s Eye Scentsy warmer has never given me a scent throw. I guess me and Scentsy warmers don’t mesh well. I love vendor wax the best but I don’t shop “Hunger Games” style. I hot dump my wax - it just works best for me. Thanks for talking about this it was interesting.

  • @kawaiiwitchbaby
    @kawaiiwitchbaby6 жыл бұрын

    Some wax vendors are all hunger games crazy but I've noticed that sometimes cools off after awhile and its not so hard some months compared to others... maybe an influx of new customers that have heard of many different scents I think... And I know what you mean about not being patient when it comes to cure time. Maybe purchasing vendor wax from de stash groups would be the way for you to purchase items that are already cured. :) And for getting wax out I kinda do all the methods(freezer, ice cube, cotton ball) except for the dumping wax hot pour. I am just not graceful enough to not have that turn into a disaster. lol

    SO a candle crock does not have a light bulb. Once it goes you have to chuck it. But you can buy replacement bulbs for scentsy either though them or I buy them at walmart honestly.

    I could do a wax collection but there is not much there..... I am only buying as I melt now so I only have a few bars lol (like maybe 10-12 max). And most are multiples of one scent. My days of mad hoarding are gone.... thankfully. I am enjoying buy AS I melt. Now when sweet plum pastry comes out in July..... watch out lol!

    I have not. I would not be able to use it in my car as both my daughter and husband don't really like the fragrance in the car. It's really too concentrated for them in there, not diffused like in the house.

    The other bummer with vendor wax is most of it has to “cure” for up to 6 months to get the best throw from it and for those of us who don’t want to hoard wax anymore- that makes it difficult - and it’s expensive! Be glad you haven’t drank the koolaid lol!!

    I highly, highly urge you to order mini melters from Rosegirls! She ALWAYS has these on her site, and you can order whenever and however many you want! (I am not a fan of hunger games style, either!) She pours to order, and I have never waited more than 2 weeks for an order. One order came in just one week! I love purchasing single scent notes because I like the plethora of blending options they offer. And it allows me to know what certain oils smell like on their own before committing to a blend I might not like. Go here! www.rgwax.com/shop-online-1/4m24vgfb5qgrkyvm58bie8qnxojoyl

    I refuse to buy from vendors who sell that way too. I buy from sites that have website, you buy whenever and almost always already cured. ScentedpleasuresbyLina.com is amazing, and Lina, I have talked to and ordered from a great deal for almost 5 yrs now. I love her candles, gift baskets and body care as well. Front Porch.com is also great like with product and simple ordering when desired. I have a Front Porch grubby melting now in Pink Sugar Marshmallow and amazing (on day 2). Both vendors have an amazing variety of scents.
