Well not only that she knows that Fitz knows how important her father is to her and how he wasn't gonna let her rot in prison the way she planned. She realizes after everything she's done to him with their last big breakup and her aborting their baby him being with multiple women which I'm sure he didn't want to do and her being with Jake that he has never gotten over her and loves her more now than ever and she feels the same about him.

This episode was so amazing and when this happened I couldn't contain my excitement. I'm so glad they got back together and they're both on the same page this time

Why wasn’t an acknowledgment that her relationship with Jake was over before taking her back? To me it looked as though she was sleeping with both men. I couldn’t bring myself to get happy about their reunion because of that. Fitz was always to willing to bed her without that acknowledgment. And we know for a fact that she always go back to Jake.

Come on, at what point does he say “ no,” you either stay with Jake if that’s what you want or break it off completely before I even consider letting you back in my life. I mean sometimes you just have to let go. If she loved him enough, she would’ve done that. Shonda should never have made Fitz seemed so pathetic that he appeared weak and had no control over his emotions. In the real world men are very possessive of the women they love. Mellie is now president so Olitz can now reunite. During the reelection they couldn't be together because Olivia focus had to be on Mellie winning and winning clean. Unfortunately just like Fitz Mellie won for fixed rigging of the election. Frankie Vargas actually won but Peus and Reuland threatened voters or blackmail them to vote for Mellie.They didn't need any distractions that's why Mellie couldn't be with Marcus and Olivia couldn't be with Fitz at the time. Basically Mellie was Fitz and Olivia was Cyrus doing the campaign trail. Only difference is Mellie is single

I was about to turn off my TV when she said that mess. I was like "not this again". I will say though, for olitz, I like where they're at now. It doesn't seemed rushed and it's obvious that this time they have a solid friendship first. Throughout the episode, by the way they interacted with each other, it's almost as if mentally they were already a couple.

I did however check up on the ratings and lmao when I saw that a show that used to have 10 mil strong every week was pulling 5-6 mil on average now.

for me the show is not only about the olitiz relationship it was always about far more than that. I loved Olivia with Fitz and Jake for different reasons. I know a lot of the fans like me have been disappointed with this season is cause what happened to Olivia fixing shit and it just seems like everything we loved about Scandal has gone out the window this season. The only reason why the last few eps have been better for me is cause finally we are seeing some action and we are finally going to see next week Olivia fathers standing up to the bad guys and the team sorting crap out etc etc, Shonda lost her mind this season cause she ruined everything most of the fans loved about the show. I personally thought the Olitz kiss felt kind of forced and awks to watch, chemistry def lacking in kiss for me anyway.

No Fitz didn't save Rowan. He saved Olivia. Olivia was willing to go to prison for the rest of her life to protect her father Because if he goes to jail he will get killed. Fitz was like hell naw he's not having that so him having Rowan arrested was to protect her and only her. Fitz knows how much Olivia loves her father even though she has tried to have him killed in the past herself but now because we find out why he killed Frankie Vargas she wants to protect her dad. If he didn't frame Cyrus Beene those people threatened to put a bullet in Olivia head

There was something tender and heartfelt about that kiss. It was so real. It was a forgive me kiss. It was a I love you so much and forgive me kiss. I liked the way she looked at him and the way he looked at her. I just liked the way he looked at her as if to say now what. And she looked so contrite for accusing him. It was a very tender scene. Wow! He just takes all her cruel comments! I really wished he would walk away from her. She is toxic! How any human could treat another human so cruelly who truly was motivated in all they do by love for them is beyond me. Maybe The writer for the show has some sort of hatred of men. I mean this guy could open up a vain for this girl and she would somehow find a way to blame it on him. I mean her father killed his son because he had the audacity to Fall in love with his daughter. So he decided to take something that was precious to him away. Now that is not the character Olivia’s fault but my God!!! To say the things she says to him is just unreal. And she literally took off with another man when his son was murdered supposedly by her mother, oh no wait, her father as it turned out. All without I thought for the man she supposedly loves must be going through. And what does the character Fitz’s do, he repeatedly for her, PROTECTS HIS SONS KILLER! It’s so far-fetched I can’t believe the writers decided to shove that down the throat of the viewers. I get the name of the show is Scandal but as Fitz’s would Say, “come on Liv!”

I am glad that they put them back together but I hated how they styled her hair this season. that wig was irking me something serious.

Reading through comments. Interesting. IMO, S7 will be the last season of Scandal. It cannot go on for an eighth with the same love triangles and shtick. Unless the reboot the show around Mellie and Olivia together running her administration- which they won't. In terms of ratings, yes scandal has suffered, but overall network TV has suffered. Of all 4 major networks, about 10 shows have maintained significant numbers I.e. Grey's/NCIS franchise/ Big Bang. Remember, scandal didn't start off with a huge audience, it was on the bubble - social media and word of mouth got it S2 - or Shonda just asked ABC for a chance, which is likely. So considering Scandal started off weak, it makes sense after the end of it's prime, it's starting to return to the core original gladiator audience. Season 7 will have a decent steady audience and by the last few eps will gain like final episodes of all series do. Shonda is aware of this. This Olitz decision was planned for the precise moment. Shonda knew when to put them back together - the 100 episode fantasy reminded Liv she still loves him. Idk if they'll remain together, Shonda will give them a few bumps, but I think by series finale - May 2018ish. We will have our Olitz.

Yes, most network shows have taken a hit due to streaming services and premium tv. However, it's worth noting that Scandal is still a top 5 broadcast drama in key demo, which is all that matters to the network and advertisers. Also, many fans review live ratings, but advertisers look at live +3 day dvr playback which renders scandal an average 8.5, million viewers, and a 1.9 in key demo per week. All I'm saying is scandal is still in good shape, & season 6 is the best ever. Keep Olitz together, keep the storyline interesting & the ratings will be even better.

I'm gonna try & rationalize Shonda's "Olivia's on a journey" crap. I think in season 6 (I haven't watched since 4) more and more Olivia came to realize that as Fitz is with her, she can't get over him. I think she's finally realizing that her life is not and cannot be complete without Fitz. ijs

well, rn susan is still the vice president but when fitz left luna vargas was VP but she was killed as well so cyrus is VP now

Jake is the new vice president but he will later step down because he was threatened so it went to Luna Vargas and then Cyrus

The man killed Fritz’s son; she should be glad Fitz didn’t have him executed. I would have told her that!

Hmmmm......... Very nice to see that "Olitz" is back, but that chemistry has been cool down! Most likely out of respect for the families, in which I get. But let's not cool them down to much, keep the heat in that chemistry, after all, it's what makes the show. Bravo, bravo Olitz, you're my favorite but I like "Olake" a little also.

Remember Olitz is in love where Olake is just like friends with benefits and it's one sided. Only Jake loves Olivia but she never loved him.
