Great video. There is another option. Once you visited the Melk Abbey, you skip your lunch at Melk. Instead, you take the boat ride to Durnstein. Have lunch there and explore the town, hike to the castle ruins. The next boat will arrive in 2 or 3 hours. It is free to ride to Krems if you already have the previous boat ticket.

hi after watching your video, i have assurance on the day trip there since im going to Vienna this coming Dec'22. May i ask, you bought the combi tickets for a round trip is it inclusive of boat ride plus return train back to Vienna?
