Unreal, her song "please forgive me" is unfuckingbelieveable. "my skin is painfully new" one of the best lines I have ever heard in my life. Gifted.

I'm a 9 year survivor of the same type breast cancer. I had a nerve severed during the surgery. It was entwined with the only node turmor. I was also stage 2b. Melissa helped me through it with her music. And she's still doing it.

@methridge #teamme We thank God for bringing this talented ROCKING ROLL ICON back to us. Ethridge nation may not realize you refused that chemo that could have left you with neuropathy to your fingers n toes so u declined that treatment and were doing radiation. Perhaps, if it were not for your refusal of that chemo med, you may not have been able to bring us that ROCK N ROLL HALL OF FAME PERFORMANCE singing Janis..... and that SCREAM was PERFECT. As a nurse, I remember telling my partner that I hope her family or team are ready behind the scenes to catch her and help her get somewhere to rest after using all that energy.... but You've consistently shown us, who may be facing many of the same things you've been through, to speak true, be strong, and choose only love no matter what you're going through.... at home we call that "true North" or "the lighthouse..." what we use to find our way home when we're out in rough seas and we're looking for a sign to show us the way back home. Thank you to the powers that be for bringing ME to where she is now so we can heal her and her family, band, n crew, as she performs for us to be that lighthouse beacon in this world of uncertainty, of Covid, to guide her nation through these uncertain times with music, laughter, sharing, community, and love. She does all that while sending out positive messages and references to help calm those feeling anxiety, depression, and alcohol and drug abuse in these desperate times. Momma, know Beckett is up there with your Dad and you can talk to your angels anytime through "the holes in the floor of Heaven." Still cancer free and still rocking those screams into that microphone decades later. Sometimes it's good to see where we came from and speak true to yourself about them as you look where you are and where you're going. Love, The Cape Codder Nikki Todd
