Thanks for the video Dave. We are planning a return visit to Cuba. (previously we went to Holguin - Paradisus Río de Oro with the Royal service and thoroughly enjoyed it!!) We are liking the Buenavista as it seems quiet, I understand we can walk or take the shuttle to the other Melia resorts in the area when we need more action!. Would you suggest this plan or would you suggest a different resort. Also, is the ride from the airport to the Melia Buenavista very long?

Yes, there is a shuttle to other melia resorts we made use of that. We like Bonavista, the Main benifit with Bonavista is the really good snorkeling, the best we’ve seen in Cuba right off the beach. I would say the price for Bonavista is a bit too high for the level of service and accommodations. I think the best value for the higher end in Cuba, that I’ve been to, is Paradisus royal service.

also yes the ride is a bit long from the airport, about 2 hours. Kind of boring across the cause way.

hi! nice video. My question is could I go snorkeling if I am from another resort? I would be to shy to go in the middle beach of coarse but is it ok on the side beaches, or is it not allowed and I will be told so. thanks :)

If you are from another Melia resort there is a shuttle bus between so no problem. When I was touring other resorts around las Dunas seems people from other resorts will check out other resorts near by. No one is checking wrist bands etc. The best snorkeling is the middle beach, I don't think there is an issue to use that one. Check out my beach tour kzread.info/dash/bejne/iqNtm9anfsysedI.html

@@vacationswithdavebrown3045 I will not ba at another Melia. I will be at the Grand memories cayo santa maria, it is 9 resorts away. from the melia buenavista. that is why I was asking. its a complete other resort. thanks.

They dont however you can take a 2 minute bus ride to las dunas. They do sell small ones at buenavista in the little store but you're gonna want to goto las dunas for them.

The Melia Las Dunes in that area has a cigar shop …I was in it couple weeks ago
