Great video and great guides! Quick question for you. Is there a good Hunter Discord like there is for Warlocks? Also, which 4 active skills do you suggest for a cat pet? Right now, I have Claw R7, Bite R7, Growl R6, and Dash R3. I find my pet is having issues with focus. Am I doing something wrong? I'm BM melee spec'd with 2/2 Beastial Discipline. Thanks in advance.

discord.gg/nJUNfXPc here's the hunter class discord! to answer the 2nd question you don't need to worry at all about focus, you just put claw/bite/Dash on auto cast with obviously growl off auto cast and it's GG If you really feel like you're having a problem, DM me Nature#1776 on discord or Naeture#1776 forget if i had the e or not and i can take a quick look at logs!

Do you think it is important to equip the thrash blade in the main hand as our prebis? for example there is an axe with slightly higher dps from brd but it is a mainhand weapon, putting the thresh blade in the off hand. does the thrash blade rely a lot on the extra swings from raptor strike and such?

I was asking myself the same thing, since raptor strike should trigger trash blade (due to dual wield rune). I'm new to wow and have trouble figuring this out, if anyone more experienced can give an opinion here it would be much appreciated!

Do the weapon bis pieces include the 2.6 speed version of the fist offhand option? does the sword proc outdo the set proc? Also, does weapon speed in offhand even matter? Raptor is normalised 2.4/2.4 speed, right? Flanking only hits with mh, and wf procs only on mh too, right? Does anything stop us using a dagger? For pets, does the comparison factor in Stormstrike and oh fist weapon debuffs?

after update combo of fist wpns is better. Flanking strike is 100% wpn dmg (main hand only) along w/ windfury being MH only, so you can put a wpn enchant like shadow oil or dense sharpening stone on OH Raptor strike is normalized all wpns are 2.4 yes, but daggers are normalized faster (i think it's 1.8 AS) so they are not typically good for us, since our RS will hit like doo doo w/ them. pets, no that was not factored in for this content.

Yo, the darkmoon:sandstorm card will probably be worth getting even for some time in P4 and even later right? It giving around 30-60 DPS each boss will still work against higher mobs or does the DPS decrease on lvl 60? Considering picking it up on my feral to have an AOE ability and the DPS increase.

FD is 30sec CD, you wont be able to perma CC one, so if you're in a chill raid, swap to Trap Launcher

hmm. is dragons cry bis, after the option to swap the 1,5 speed Strikers fisty one to a 2,6 one on zandalari island? considering the setbonus as well, i find that odd. id love it if it was, as i have dragons already - but i doubt it?

@@Naturetvz yea. and dragons cry is pretty meh tbh. the dragon ONLY attacks i the wearer has aggro, so pointless in pve for a hunter, solo and raiding. the proc, is, worthless.

@@Naturetvz aoe dmg does activate it, but thats just a few fights and not constant, so unless u proc it as the aoe hits, its just there for 15 sec, and dies. so typically, u get abt 1-2 hits from it before its gone. really strange designfor a proc, must b they made a mistake designing it tbh. it should just support yr attacks, like it more or less promises...or, its designed only for tanks.

New slow off hand better than sword now? Also is it worth Bow swapping old STV bow and new STV bow? I checked, and both buffs can be active at the same time, tho it does take a GCD to swap, and i forgot to check if it resets swing timer

Great question!!! new bis is the fist wpns - added in the description after release of the video thought I edited the change prior to release but it is what it is! lol also massive question, first i've heard or seen on swapping the two bows. we'll test and figure it out! if you get info feel free to dm naeture#1776 on discord.

For melee hunter , if we have the 3 piece set bonus, wouldn’t the rapid fire head slot rune be better than catlike reflexes ? Ty for your time

honestly, only for a the first couple weeks with the nerfs to the raid, and getting some gear, fights will become sub 3 minutes (my dad guilds already at like 3 min 10 sec for longest fight). once you hit 3m15s or shorter fights, it becomes useless.

Is darkmoon sandstorm actually bis for bm melee? All the bis addons are showing just using the owl/150 ap trinket/plagues Is sandstorm just situational for aoe moments or actually single target bis too after hotfix?

Great question!!! well it depends on kill times under 60 seconds yes the 150 AP trinket is bis, over 60 seconds is Sandstorm atm. The problem you're probably running into is sims will automatically default to 60 seconds. what's not factored in for sims is trinket swapping so the true min max is to pop the 150AP on pull then swap to a static trinket such as sandstorm. this is single target ofc, for multitarget sandstorm becomes more valuable - and further Sandstorm is based on perfect conditions, it's a odd trinket as it oculd be utilized better depending on the hitbox of the boss/AOE affect etc

@Naturetvz neat! I've been feigned death swapping after using conductive belt 150 ap trinket , epic gloves helm e.t.c. for first 20 seconds or 30 if belt lands head, then swapping to static ap gear. Between that and having 15x all consumables, my inventory is full, but the dps is worth it to be competitive. Sometimes, i just switch my quiver for an actual bag since im never stopping to auto shot more than a multishot and 1 shot anyways and a running serpent. May have to get sandstorm too..sadly its a 50+ dollar trinket with eight of dunes going for 800g on living flame horde since fair returned to thunderbluff.. wish i got it earlier. Atleast at lvl 60 we can also get the improved feign death to reduce chance of failure in gear swapping

Is the soft hitcap for all melee classes and range hunter 6% at lvl 50? Skull lvl bosses in ST are they 53 or how does this work at low lvl raids ? Best hunter guide out there btw !!

good question, basically yes in SOD boss' are factored at 2 lvls above, making them a yellow mob to us instead of a orange mob, i believe the idea here from the devs was to make it so wpn skill plays less of a factor that way ppl could play whatever race they want instead of feeling boxed into orc or human as melee. the +2 lvls has been consistent in all raids in sod, BFD, Gnomer, ST.

MH is atalai - OH is dragons cry, but right after the video they did a update and dual fists wpns edge those two out, so not a bad idea to go for dual fist wpns even if orc atm.

@@Naturetvz yeah im pretty cut by this lol we got both in week 2 and i won both as it was our first set and as a set they simmed highest for me being the only set vs the axes/dragon sword, after looking at it being a 80dps upgrade for me vs the 400dps upgrade for the warrior i gave it away lol 2 days later the patch and bame rip lol

melee hunter is still really good, it kinda just goes w/ blizzards statement of balancing the two to make melee equal to or a tiny less than ranged - we'll know more tomorrow once EU receives the updates and everyones logs are in after restart. as of right now you just see a lil jump up in ranged vs melee on overall WCL stats sod.warcraftlogs.com/zone/statistics/2009/#sample=1

What you're saying about Trueshot Aura can be a bit misleading, unless I am misunderstanding. Hunters only get additional rAP, not additional AP. Everyone in the group gets 150 AP. And the hunter gets and additional 150 rAP.

he said 80-140 dps, not ap. the benefit of 150 ap is the dps. ranged hunter gets 300 yea, but he is ranged and doesnt scale so welll with ap so the benefit is less, proportionally

@@eldenanchor8179 i think the confusion is coming in because Trueshot aura was buffed two-fold, not only does it do double AP from original classic so for example rank 2 which is what we use at lvl 50 used to do 75 AP, now it does 150 AP - in addition it's x2 for ranged hunters, so it's actually 300 AP total for ranged hunter. so to summarize my comment was meant to be about how it's x2 from original classic - however your comment is how it's x2 for ranged hunter in SOD this is just semantics.

it kinda depends on your run and what your doing. however lone wolf is gonna scale with multitargets. So per sims lone wolf is behind single target, but not by much at all. - however on multitarget it'll always be better and it will scale the more targets involved. So for overall dmg lone wolf is huge. #1 prio as always is to make sure the raid has lion so it's really only a option if someone else is running lion or kings.

yeah for Boss single target Marksman build + Lion on Chest or Marksman rune are BIS - Both of these runes are pretty equivalent, Marksman rune could outshine if you ever have any mana issues, which we prob won't have this phase. For any multitarget or for Overall dmg, Lone wolf is BIS

No way is that helm better than the gnomer helm. Or did I misunderstand you? The rank 7 helm has 2 more agi, but gnomer has the on use, AND +3 weapon dmg, which is huge for melee.
