Average temp in winter is about 13c but Melbourne has cold winds 360 days a year. That is mild compared to parts of Europe and Northern regions of USA and Canada but it still feels cold. NSW has the best weather in Australia.

Melbourne doesn’t have cold winds 360 days a year. You clearly haven’t been here in summer.

It depends on what you prefer. I like to have 4 distinct seasons and I like to have a cold winter, so to me, NSW is not good enough in terms of weather. Not everyone likes to be warm year long, like in QLD or to have mild winters.

As a Shanghainese who used to live in Melbourne, I love this city and I am ashamed and saddened by the pain COVID-19 has caused this city and its people. I am ashamed of our country's government. Now I am in Shanghai, starving, without medical care, without medicine, without personal freedom, without freedom of speech. There is nothing in this government that I can trust.

Someone say that Melbourne in Winter is very cold. But, watching how people are dressed in the video, it doesn't seem that it's so cold.

Winter in Melbourne has many variables. It can be a comfortable 14C and that suddenly drop to 2C within an hour when Antarctic winds come by. Winter in Melbourne is often described as cold because some dress up on the light side without consideration of any stark changes in temperature.

Pre-dawn lows average between about 0-4°C, and occasionally dip below zero. Afternoon highs average between about 11-15, sometimes a little lower, sometimes a bit higher. Compared to northern winters, Melbourne winter isn't that cold. But compared to Melbourne summers (with several days above 40°C) winter can feel freezing cold.

@@Ichigo-dh9rd It's all the matter of perception. When you immerse yourself living in a cold climate, you'll get used to it. That's the reason people on the Equator claim to be freezing in minor cold, while people in colder climates claim to be melting in 25C weather.
