The whole point of going to a concert for me, is to hear the artist singing the song rather then the audience, especially after spending a lot of money on tickets. I've noticed that Robbie Williams does this a lot also - just holding the mic out to the crowd for them to sing

None of them could sing? Geri doesn't have a great voice, but the rest of them, especially Mel C, have beautiful voices. If you haven't noticed that then have another go at the videos of their love vocals :)
