I hate it when soaps recast big characters. Just leave characters in the past where they belong. Replacing Susan Tully with this actress as Michelle is as bad as replacing James Alexandrou with James Bye as Martin. The Fowler family should have been left alone

They had to replace them! The Fowlers/Beales were the first family of the square. Seeing as they're original characters, they'll always have lots of mileage left, (hence why Sharon and Ian are always kept in this show). When Michelle left in '95, she had still had loads to in Walford: reunite with Den (they missed that opportunity), revive her friendship with Sharon, REVEAL HER SON'S TRUE PATERNITY etc. Michelle Fowler's story was not yet wrapped up. There was no way that EE could let Susan Tully ditch the role of Michelle Fowler, and let Michelle stay a relic of the past. She needed to be brought back and, if Susan was never gonna come back, she needed to be recast. I just wished they made her do more interesting things/kept her on longer. Same goes with Martin. The Fowlers have been in the show since the beginning, but by '07, Martin was all that was left. The Fowlers eventually had to return since you can't have the square without the Fowlers. If James alexandrou was gonna ditch the role of Martin for good, EE had to find a new Martin Fowler to wrap up Martin's story. You may not like the recasts, I didn't want the recasts, but they were necessary.

What producer in their right mind would recast such an important significant character from the mighty Sue Tully. It was a terrible mistake.

It's because the actor didn't wanna make a return that's why. But then I do say if she didn't wanna return then not really worth bringing the character back as what you said such a significant character, there was only one person that can really play Michelle fowler!

Boxill-Harris I was wondering, why coudn't you find a nice fresh shiny Leyland Titan B15's and Repaint them to a Grey Green Color's just like the original Scania Grey Green's which were in the East London bus route's such as 125, 167, 179, 173, 168, 141, 66, 275, 313 and also the bus route 103, if you guy would like to find about 14 Leyland Titan B15's, please could you Repaint them in the Exact Grey Green Bus Color's and put them in EastEnders for all of us because it would be a Very Very Very Very Very Very Very Very Interesting Buses to see them Repainted to a Grey Green Color's and put them in EastEnders, Because I'am a Big Fan of all of those Leyland Titan B15's😉😉😉😄😄
