Thanks for posting your review. Very insightful. Meike has 3 different 25mm lenses. I decided to go with this 25mm f2 rather than the 25mm 1.8 or the 25mm T2. As you mentioned, this f2 is a solid build and has a bit more weight especially compared to the smaller compact 25mm 1.8 Meike offers. Your focus breathing test is A+. With other lenses I've used in the past I did notice that issue but I paid it no mind because I didn't know what it was and it really didn't bust my scene. I have a few questions for you, filmmaker to filmmaker. Please know your recommendations and professional counsel are well respected. A. It's been over well over a year since you posted this video. How do you feel about using this lens now that time has passed? B. What rating would you give this lens performance in low lighting situations? C. Aside from the Meike Cine lens kit would you recommend using this as a trusty lens for video production content creators? Like producing client interviews, testimonials, web talk shows, sellable stock footage, etc? I appreciate you sharing this valuable information as it does help people like me and others decide which direction to go. Ciao!!

The f2 lens is just ok in low light, depending on the camera. On the GH5S, it works well enough. Lighting is still desired over low natural light. I used this lens for interviews primarily and it works quite well in that regard. For narrative work, I trust the cine lenses better. For full disclosure, I actually sold all of my M43 gear and lenses last year. COVID lockdown and restrictions limited what I could do and I had to shift focus to something else. I'm mainly livestreaming for groups now using Sony AX700 4K camcorders as they are better for this type of work than interchangeable lens cameras.

@@ZyxxyDigitalMedia thanks so much for responding. This really helps in the world of Meike. So far I've used this 25mm for several sit-down interviews and my clients were extremely impressed with the final look. So am I. I'll keep it and recommend for certain productions. Take care. New Sub.
