This is my personal review of the Meike 35mm T2.2 Cine Lens. My thoughts alone. I was not compensated in any way. TL;DR - Yes, well worth the purchase!

What an excellent review format and beautifully executed! I had 2 x GH5 bodies but sold em and went to full frame when Panny took too long bringing out the GH6. I sold all my mft glass as well. These MEIKEs are so crazy good and such a decent price that I’m strongly considering getting back into mft for the economic argument alone. Thanks for making the effort to make this great review!!

Nice review thanks, I am starting with the 25 and then probably the 50. Will replace my 15/1.7 and the 25/1.4. Not shure I will let go of my Nocticron 42.5/1.2 since it is one of the best lences I have had. I have the 12-35 and 35-100/2.8 but the focus rings on these are so annoying.

Thanks a lot I am sold! I would pay at least 2 grand for a lumix 12-35 2.8 cine lens!! I love the lens but I struggle with the focus ring thus why I am going to try these Meikes

I'm waiting on the next in the series, the 50mm. If it's anything like the others, it'll be a great fit in my kit! As for wanting them all, you can't go wrong with the price! I do recommend one at a time, though. Buy them as you need them!

Zyxxy Digital Media great point. The 16 will be good and then the 35mm will my next. If there’s a 59 coming I’d go that way for sure. Thanks for the reply.

I've heard the Meike 25mm cine lens is not up to snuff relative to the others, as far as chromatic aberration goes-- Can you verify this? Specifically, does it need to be stop down to 2.8 to get rid of the chromatic aberration?

Nice video, I like your style. How does the T/2.2 compare to f/2.8 on the 12-35 in terms of exposure? I have the Voitlander 25mm and 42.5 and am considering selling them and getting some Meikes. I like the geared aperture and focus rings and the more uniform size
@ZyxxyDigitalMedia

The T2.2 is a bit brighter than the f2.8 on the 12-35 in my estimation. Similar, but brighter. I usually try not to go that wide because I usually don't need that shallow of a depth of field. Your Voigtlander lenses are the f0.95, yes? Those are very nice glass! Personally, I'd keep them and buy a single Meike to test to make sure you like it, and then buy more. They're inexpensive, but the Voigtlander glass is pretty, too! It's a tough choice, but you could have both brands if you're willing to buy the Meike one at a time!

@@ZyxxyDigitalMedia Thanks for the reply. I don't think the Voigtlanders are anything special optically, outside of their massive .95 wide open aperture

Hey, thanks for this I am currently looking to purchase the Meike lenses and been looking around at reviews, yours has a nice comparison. I did see one review that showed quite bad CA on the 25mm, but not the others and i wonder if you have experienced this? The clips at 2500 ISO were very clean were you using GH5 or GH5S? I have the GH5 and use V Log L but wouldn't dare go that high. Also I was wondering how sharp the images are for interviews and corporate video which is what I am mainly working on at the moment. Cheers, I'll subscribe and see if you come out with any more good stuff like this.

I'm using the GH5S. I haven't noticed any CA in any of the lenses, but then again, I haven't tried testing for it! Maybe I'll do another video on the series and see what happens!
