MEI AE2602 Validator Complete Service Tech Video

Ғылым және технология

See how the series 2000 MEI validators work, come apart and are reassembled in less that 30 mins. We have started with a very dirty dollar bill acceptor from an outdoor car wash that had decaying belts and rollers. We completely disassembled this unit, cleaned every part, changed the capacitor in the control board and then showed you the complete parts breakdown before reassembly.
These services can be done from home with simple hand tools and a limited knowledge on electronics. We also perform this service for you once your MEI validators are sent to us.
We hope you enjoy our tips and tricks videos on many types of vending and amusement items.
Please leave us a comment as it helps our channel grow and keeping these videos free of charge.

Last point, did you learn anything from this video? Just a year or no is all I'm looking for.

Doug, Thanks for the awesome video. Couple of comments and questions. 1. What type of cleaning tank are you using? Is it like a dentist vibrating tank? Just soap and water? 2. Do you ever update the software? I usually do, but noticed after a software update, the bill acceptors will not take older bills. 3. I have gone exclusively to the MEI's. I won't use the Coinco, Cashcode, Apex, ICT, JCM, Smiley, Gamemax or Pyramid any longer. However, I'm not a fan of the new CPI Talos so far.

We have all of the update tools for MEIs as that is all we work on now. As far as cleaning, just soap and water for the plastic parts and a foaming window cleaner from Home Depot so the liquid doesn't run off so fast. We use brake clean for the gear sets as that old grease really seems to stick and we want the 4 gears nice and clean prior to re greasing with a clear synthetic bicycle chain grease.

Nice service video of the MEI. I have a question for you. I have a couple of older MEI 2511s that cycle slow and display the one flashing light that represents a bill jam and wondering if it needs to be lubed or what parts need to be replaced. Thanks for your expertise.

Usually a case that the stacker motor is bad. You can try some new grease in the gear box and maybe a few drops of 10W oil.

Thanks for the video. I watched it 10 times! Haha, My validator just started blinking one blink, and the token machine said sensor, so I took it entirely apart like your video, and the top sensors, a piece of a bill fell out, so I am thinking that must be it. I put it all back together, and it's not showing any errors and solid red light, but it won't take any bills! Is there some kind of reset? And when I first turned it on, it cycled 3 times. I did see someone changed the cap on the inside already. What do you think? I might have to send it to you. I am trying to open a small arcade.
