I think Piers would accept if they could back up their story. Although Harry and Megan act as victims, they are powerful, influential people. It’s a combination of a “culture clash” and Harry doing what she wants. As an American who was formerly married to a British national, I’m familiar with some of that. Americans put freedom first, and the British can be more focused on tradition. (Neither is right or wrong.) So I don’t think she understood tradition in England. She wasn’t interested in standing on the hospital steps with her baby, and instead believed in the freedom to do what she wanted. Harry could have said to her “this is a tradition in my country and it would mean allot to the people”, but he went along with what she wanted. As a result, the backlash happened in the media, because she’s seen as a brat. This is my observation after watching the 4th episode.
