Megan Hilty is probably one of the sweetest people in the world. I had the amazing opportunity to meet her two years ago in NYC and she was nice enough to take a picture with me :)

Hilty is so adorable and incredibly talented.

Her laugh is gorgeous!

Ellen was just NOT into that interview, which from what I've seen she usually loves the Broadway guests. Just goes to show how much class Megan has that she rolled with it and didn't let it affect her. Love this woman she's amazing!

she is an idol.. shows you that you can live your dream. she is smart, well spoken, beautiful, funny, and just a wonderful person all around.

I kind agree. Like Ellen asked Megan "how old is your nephew?" 4! Remember? Megan just mentioned it less than 2 minute ago. Clearly Ellen wasn't listening to her guest.

I saw her 4 times in Wicked in LA back in 2008. Love this woman to death, she's so sweet and nice, met me and spoke to me a good deal three times at the stage door. So nice and genuine and absolutely adorable. So proud of how far she's come! I love that I get to watch her every week in my own living room!

Is it me or Elen was just a liiiiiiiittle rude at some points?? :/

That's exactly how I feel! I always want to fast forward through the hitlist scenes and say "Give me more Megan"! With her FLAWLESS voice and incredible natural acting skills, I definitely consider Megan Hilty a genius!!

Megan says that at 5:54 after doing her Marilyn impression. She says it in such a cute way, thats all :)

Same in season 2 when the hitlist scenes come up I get bored and its because Megan is such a star in her field i'd consider her a genuis.She brings so much more to the show.

I am in LOVE with this woman. She is gorgeous, has an amazing body, and can sing her heart out. I fell for her when she played Glinda in Wicked, and now I am a loyal viewer of SMASH. Megan Hilty is flawless in my eyes.

I don't even know her personally, but I'm so proud of Megan. She started on Broadway and now she's here, in a great television series and being interviewed by Ellen Degeneres. And she hasn't changed one bit!

I saw her preform Wicked in Toronto about 6 years ago. She was phenomenal.

You and I are on the same page fionan, about Megan Hilty. She outshines everyone, maybe that's why they're scared to let her have the spotlight, because all of their egos are so huge. The other sense I got watching this interview was that Ellen had never even seen Megan perform, maybe, or I have no idea!

I love that she became fascinated by Marilyn Monroe through Arthur Miller! That's really interesting.

I wish it Smashed WAS all about Megan Hilty. She is the best thing on the show, in my opinion!

I still haven't seen the finale. I think I'll get around to it tomorrow.

oh, absolutely!!

What is with all the negativity towards Ellen?? She's been more animated, sure, i'd agree with that but she's being friendly and interested, she's asking questions and certainly isn't RUDE towards Megan as one comment suggested. Seriously, if you watch Ellen every day you'll know this is her manner sometimes. If all the comments hadn't been talking about it my brain wouldn't have even gone there. They're both amazing, they're both into it, stop trying to stir the pot!!

She is my absolute favourite Glinda ever. Even better than Cheno.

Ellen does give her a bit of a slap by talking about My Week With Marilyn and saying that's the thing to watch if you want to learn about Marilyn Monroe essentially saying Smash isn't the thing to watch and that Michelle Williams is a better Marilyn.

Bellevue in the house!! Im from Bellevue WA and she went to Samammish HS where a lot of kids I grew up with went but when I was in high school she was like 6 or 7

She is SO adorable. To me she IS the star of Smash!

ok so at 2:38 when she acts like her nephew---reminds me of the type of voice she used in "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes". Loved that show!
